"The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there. "

"We were stunned at how beautiful the property was. It had many restaurants to choose from, some of the best resort/hotel food we've had. Even an ice cream/crepe bar! Staff was welcoming, warm and friendly. The spa was great. I didn't want to leave b/c they had everything there on the property. Would def come back again and recommend to friends."

"Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would have liked the entertainment at the hotel to be more varied as it seemed to be geared towards children. The food at the hotel restaurants was not completely to our liking, but fortunately, there were many restaurants outside the property that were of a very good standard."

"Hotellet er det lækreste og flotteste i Malia indre by (dem ved stranden så vi dog ikke nærmere på), og ser meget luksuriøst ud med det store barområde/loungeområde, god musik og hyggelige restaurant-område med VIRKELIG god mad. Vi fandt ud af, at stedet er en attraktion i sig selv på grund af maden og vinen. Værelset vi fik var rimelig standard med dobbeltseng (to enkelte), altan med udsigt over både vand, by og bjerge, tekøkken og lille badeværelset. Badet var i ringe stand, håndholdt bruser...

"The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms are run down, very old and braking, the food is so bad in quality and bad on healthy choices. The location is great, and the pool Is fun. The worse is the food. "

"Family owned hotel. George was a very friendly, easy going host. He was always available for questions and even for an evening beverage! Central location, safe to walk to and from the main strip, old town and local beaches. Air con is extra 7 Euro per night. The pool isn’t actually on the property, but it’s still a great facility we utilized for free, only a couple of minutes walking distance away. Our room was lower level with two small windows so quite dark and the decor had faded a lot since...
