“Good location as long as the weather is cool and you dont need internet”

Great location in the center of Madrid. Almost everything about the hotel was good, except that they couldnt/wouldnt turn on the airconditioning even though the rooms were warm and stuffy and the internet kept timing out and killing my corporate VPN. So if you want something central, dont care too much about internet and like warmth then this hotel is a good choice.

“Adequate Hotel, Great Location”

Overall, an adequate hotel in a great location. The facility is clean and well maintained. Although the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, I found the concierge somewhat lacking in knowledge regarding local activities. The room was fine, only complaing is the bed was pretty hard. I woule, however, stay there again.

“Great location!”

Tucked away on a quiet street, this is a charming , old world hotel. Best ingredient is that Puerta del Sol Metro is steps away. This gives you easy access to where ever you want to go in Madrid- including the AVE should you go to a day trip to Toledo. The Metro is easy to learn and there is always help . There are several restaurants near by, you can actually walk to the Prado- bit long but possible.

Area recommendations

Gran Via is also near, but hit the side streets for restaurants.

“Excellent location”

Enjoyed staying here. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Rooms (although small) were clean and functional. Outstanding location within walking distance of everything in central Madrid. Overall great value for this fun city.

El Prado Museum - outstanding art collection particularly Goya and Velasquez - not to be missed

“Good Location. Overall satisfied.”

Short walking distance to Gran Via and Puerta Del Sol. Convenient location. Good counter service. Room is neat with adequate size, comfortable pillows and bed. Bathroom is clean with excellent showers, sliding door for bathtub. Good lighting for doorway, bed-side tables, desk, minibar and bathroom mirror. No boiler for drinking water. Waiters of restaurant can't understand much English, service is just adequate. Shuttle service to airport is too expensive, we prefer going by taxi.

“Great hotel”

I booked this hotel as and Expedia Unpublished Rate hotel, and was quite happy with the result. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Plaza Mayor and Sol metro station, and was very clean and comfortable. I think for European standards the room size was pretty good too.

“Location, location!!!!!!!”

Location is an A+. A five minute from famous Rambla, very quiet at night if you need a good sleep.The staff were very attentive when I called them up to fix something.
