“Would definately go back.”

We ended our 10 day trip to Spain with our last night at the Hilton Madrid Airport. We picked It because it was so convenient to the airport since we were flying our the next morning. We had time to enjoy the wonderful indoor pool/spa and the steamroom. Later we had great chicken fajitas at the lounge bar. They offer a free shuttel to and from the airport. We returned our rental car the night before, allowing us to avoid the parking fee the hotel charges.

“Nice hotel for American looking for America in Spain”

This is the place to go if you want a little taste of America.. Almost everyone staying there is English speaking and all the staff speaks English - a big change from most of Spain. Be aware that the cheaper expedia rates will most likely not include parking, internet access or breakfast - which will add significantly to your bill. As of 09/11, parking is 15Euro a day, internet access is 22Euro and breakfast is 28Euro per person.

“Very nice”

This hotel is very nice and modern. I people that work there are very nice and friendly, I arrived at 3:00 am because of a flight delay and there was no problem at all, they even offered an extended checkout time. Airport shuttle is free and very convenient.

Getting there

There is a free shuttle that takes you to and from the airport. I got there by taxi from the airport because I arrived at 3:00 am, the driver was not very pleased because the distance was very short.

“Good Choice for an Airport Hotel”

The hotel is just four years old, very hip decor (sliding frosted glass doors to bathroom]. The staff was very attentive--the desk immediately arranged for us to follow the shuttle bus to the airport so we could drop off our rental car and then for the bus to circle around again, pick us up, and take us back to the hotel (we spent the night there prior to returning to the States). Its drawback is that it's hard to find if you are driving a rental car (both Mapquest and Garmin couldn't get us there). So signage should be improved. But the bartender makes an excellent Margarita and the food was good. Oh! Like all beds in Spain, the mattress is hard and the pillows are worse...they could learn from Marriott!

Area recommendations

This hotel was by the airport, but in Madrid we would highly recommend the Best Western Atlantico. Great location on the Gran Via, 5 mins walk to Plaza Major, extremely clean, nice size room and decor, and excellent breakfast included. Great value.

“Very good hotel near the airport”

Overall we liked everything about the hotel and its location. The only drawback was the hotel staff which gave us wrong information about the airport shuttle schedule and we were forced to take a taxi to the airport, which cost 30 EURO (!!)

“Good value if it's on sale”

Typical airport hotel. Charges through the wazoo for WiFi; business center closed weekends. No gift shop. Difficult to get into Madrid (26 Euros for a taxi to the Prado). If you're there on Saturday night, the disco next door shoots off fireworks for 15 minutes at midnight. (Sounded like they were shelling the hotel!) Desk staff friendly. Good breakfast included. In-room bottle of water is 4 Euros, however (and no vending machines). Unless you're on the corporate budget or you get a really good online rate, look elsewhere.

“Lovely hotel, hard to find”

Terrific hotel in every respect...comfortable, clean, great breakfast buffet, close to the airport , quiet...but very difficult to figure out how to get there, as Spanish signage is terrible and the directions were convoluted.

Area recommendations

Must see: the Prado Museum, excellent painting collection Palacio Real, prettier than Versailles
