“Perfect Airport Hotel”

Located next to it's4 star sister hotel Axor Barajas, this 3 star is comparable in every way. The shuttle from/to the airport is modern and clean. Its a quick trip but can be long with morning rush hour traffic so give yourself extra time when heading to the airport. The airport offers free wireless internet as well as free access to laptop computers throughout the hotel.. and a "wii play room" and spa for relaxation before or after a flight. The room we very comfortable and clean. Great shower. Blackout curtains and quiet. My room over looked a green area between the two hotels. There are a few small restaurants and an Irish bar a two blocks away but I did not visit them.

“Great place to overnight near the airport”

This is a great hotel with a free shuttle to and from the airport. The staff is professional and quite helpful. Our room was very clean and although the modern decor was a bit stark, we were comfortable. There didn't appear to be many places to eat in the surrounding area, but the hotel restaurant had excellent food and the attentive service.

“Modern, Cozy and very Relaxing!”

Perfect quiet place to stay at, no crowds, no hassles. Quick 10 minute walk to huge shopping plaza for those who enjoy shopping and can get a feel of the Spanish enviornment. A 20 minute drive to central Madrid where you can enjoy the true essence of Spain. Recommend it to anyone!

“Perfect airport hotel”

Quick, free shuttle from airport to hotel. Efficient check in. Clean, modern room, comfortable bed, with great bathroom. Took shuttle back to airport to get Metro to downtown Madrid for dinner (almost an hour on metro). Much cheaper than taxi. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if I need an airport hotel.

“Nice airport hotel”

We stayed at this hotel for one night since we had a very early flight out of Madrid so we thought this would be more convenient (and cheaper) than trying to get to the airport from the city center by taxi. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I'm not sure what it would be like to stay here if you were trying in Madrid for sightseeing because it was not easy to find and it was not centrally located. But for a business trip it would be very nice. We did have a problem with the airport shuttle, it left a few minutes before it was scheduled to leave so we missed our shuttle. They only run every 30 minutes and we did not have time to wait for the next one, so we had to pay for a very expensive taxi ride, therefore defeating the whole purpose of our stay there.

“Good option by airport”

The hotel is close to the airport and to a shopping mall. Not much else close by but they do have a hotel shuttle and you can get to the metro from the airport. The bed was very firm and the room was very modern. It felt kind of like staying in an Ikea show room. Wifi was great and the hotel staff was helpful. On site all you can eat buffet was very convenient and decent food. They have onsite computers for guest and wii (but only one kids game and nothing else). The bed was the biggest draw back to the hotel since we do not like super firm beds.

Area recommendations

We ended up staying close to plaza de espania while in madrid. It was close to the heart of the historic part of the city. there is city noise but it was close to everything and you can walk or take the metro any where you really want to go.

“Very modern hotel but two key issues”

Booked this hotel for my wife who was on a one night layover before leaving out of MAD the next morning. She made several comments: Positives: clean, modern hotel Negatives: (1) the bed was rock hard with scratchy sheets and (2) the van service to the airport never showed up (my wife and several other travelers ended up taking taxis). Given that this is a problem I saw in several reviews, I would not recommend this hotel on that basis alone.

“Great hotel for deal”

I had weekend business in Madrid at nearby airport hotel Meliá Avenida América and decided to stay at Axor Feria due to a better cost profile. The hotel is beautiful, modern and the room has all the basic needs one could ask for. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with plenty of cold/hot breakfast items, and the hotel shuttle was available for timely airport pickup (just wait at the hotel shuttle stop and wait for a brown van). The shower was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel and the staff were able to communicate enough with me to suit my needs (being that I don't speak Spanish). Although a mall is a short 10min walk away with many stores and restaurants, the location of the hotel isn't in a very touristy area, and therefore close food options are limited for those who just want food to enjoy in their room. Plus I found the area around the hotel difficult to navigate lacking any Spanish knowledge. However, I would not hesitate to stay here again for business, due to price, comfort and ease. For those wanting to travel further into Madrid, there may be closer options, but balance the price of transport with the increased cost of city centre hotels - it may be cheaper to stay farther out!

“not quite as advertised”

good hotel in a bad location. my biggest complaint is that the advertised bus sevice was slow to pick up from the airport. use the bus as a transfer point to go into town and always had to wait 45 minutes (& - up) for the bus to make the less than 10 minute trip from the hotel. knew of the location before booking however the hotel bus service was at best less than advertised. would not return due to the bus service.

Area recommendations

while the area met my needs it would probabily be better to stay in the city. if at the madrid airport area again i would vote for the airport hilton - it's bus service to and from the airport/hotel was far superior.

“convenient airport hotel”

What I expected from airport hotel. Suited my needs, convience to airport for morning flight out of Madrid. Was not expecting frills, but comfortable enough. Would stay again.

Area recommendations

Goya. Nicer area with good access to metro/bus to major sites in Madrid.
