It features casual relaxation, with sunning on the white-sands of Solmar beach, oceanfront massage cabanas (surcharge), beachside hammocks, beach palapas, outdoor pools, swim-up bars, and an oceanfront spa tub. The resort's activity center arranges reservations for all water sports, horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkeling, sunset cruises, ATV tours, car rentals, and deep-sea fishing.
Solmar Resort's guests also enjoy access to the pools, restaurants, tennis court, fitness center, mini golf, full service Spa and other facilities at a neighboring companion resort, Playa Grande. Shuttle service available to Playa Grande. The Solmar Resort purifies its water.
Rooms
The Solmar Resort décor mirrors the unique desert-by-the-sea terrain characteristic of Los Cabos. Stone walls with arched doorways, tile floors and wood accents create a warm, authentic ambience. Guests can choose from Junior Suites, Studios and Deluxe One-Bedrooms. Every room features a patio or balcony overlooking Playa Solmar and the Pacific Ocean. All suites include kitchenettes, satellite television, in-room safes, minibars, marble floors, granite countertops, and tiled bathrooms with showers and tubs.

Dining
Tejaban - Offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared with fresh market ingredients, with a combination of Mexican and American style cuisine. In Solmar Resort all the food is fresh, delicious dining and cooked right in front of you. Open daily from 7 AM to 11 PM.
El Trebol Sport Bar - Dining and live sports viewing from Sky in a friendly bar or restaurant environment. Open from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Sushi Bar - Japanese dishes and sushi rolls. Open noon – 9 PM.
In adittion, guests at Solmar Resort have the added option of enjoying the other six restaurants that are part of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts collection, with special discounts. These restaurants are located within the other resorts as well as off-site.
Entertainment
The Solmar is a dream come true for every member of the family. Solmar Resort All Inclusive offers daily activities program such as beach volleyball, Texas hold 'em poker, and bingo. Themed dinners are available at Solmar.
The list of things to see and do in Los Cabos is almost endless. The concierge can arrange sport fishing, golf, sunset cruises, snorkeling, whale-watching and much, much more. And remember, when the sun goes down in Cabo, the nightlife heats up. Night clubs are a 10-minute walk from the resort.
Recreation
This Cabo San Lucas hotel has a three-section family pool includes a large children's area and swim-up bar, with an adjacent 15-person spa offering social soaking. A second pool also includes a children's area and a swim-up bar. Hidden away for adult seclusion, a third pool produces waves at the push of a button for resistance lap swimming.
Fitness equipment, a lighted tennis court, and massage services (surcharge) are also available on site. The hotel's activity center can arrange fishing excursions, diving, snorkeling, horse riding, sunset cruises, and other recreational opportunities (surcharges).

“One of the last small resorts on the Pacific Beach”
One of the last small resorts on the Pacific Beach in Cabo. Not the typical 1000 room timeshare zoos, it was very personal and friendly. All inclusive is great - excellent food and staff. Concierge booked three events for us with no problems or hassles whatsoever. Very close to Lover's Beach, Arches, and Cabo. Nice fire pits at night. Been to several locations in Mexico, this was very good.
“SOLMAR Resort Review”
I would like to first mention three waiter's that gave us great service , Alejandro Very hard worker , Jose , has great leadership and Jose Louise , was always there to service us . The resort is very well kept up , at all times . The food was very good no matter what time of day it was . Very large portions . The rooms were always cleaned every day . Nice setting and close to the Water . Would stay again .
“Solmar visit”
Had not been to Solmar Resort for over 7 years & booked a last minute deal. Even though there is new construction going on for the Grand Solmar development, our visit was absolutely wonderful. We were on the all inclusive package, meals were just fine, and the service at the hotel was impeccable. All the staff are very friendly, & are doing their best to make every guest feel that they could not be serviced any better. Rooms were clean, & serviced each day prior to 11:00 am. Could not have asked for anything more.
“Enjoy Cabo in affordable style at Solmar!”
The Solmar all-inclusive was fantastic! Picturesque setting, big, clean, well-appointed rooms/suites,on the quiet side which we appreciate, very friendly, helpful staff--an easy walk to town or to Lover's Beach. The food was excellent and they will make things for you off menu, like custom huevos rancheros for breakfast. We twice enjoyed a delicious lobster tail, shrimp, fish, scallop and cheese special for two for dinner(not on menu). It costs extra but is well worth it! Can't say enough good things about this place. We will definitely go back!
“Superb!”
I absolutely loved this hotel and the staff! Checking in was a little irritating but once you got passed that,it was GREAT! Don't listen to everyone complaining about construction noise,it was not that bad at all.My only complaint is the uncomfortable pillows haha. The wait staff is superb,especially Vincente and Mateo! Even the grounds keepers were very friendly! Drinks were very good,food was very good also.The beach is absolutely beautiful (no you can't swim in it) Everything is within walking distance too.I will definitely be back! Most guests were very friendly,but there are a few time share owners that probably feel they are being cheated and did not act too excited to see people,especially if you were on the all inclusive plan as we were.Which I highly recommend if you are a drinker! I know we got our moneys worth :) Overall a very relaxing vacation and I can't wait to return next year!
“Relaxing vacation with a 2 year old!”
With our 2 year old daughter - the room on the ground floor was the best thing. Close to the pool that is sectioned into 2 parts - shallow .75m for kids and approx. 6ft for adults with a "swim-to" bar. these two sections are divided by an even more shallow section for babies to play in. Lounge chairs everywhere - comfortable, with sun umbrellas, on the beach, around the pool...food was great, staff was extremely nice and there was NOTHING to distract us from enjoying a relaxing vacation. I'd give Solmar 10 stars if that was the option. Next door construction was not a bother at all...couldn't hear anything in our room, not even tunes played at the pool.
“Very Happy Brits”
Coming from the UK to Cabo is a big trip for us, so we needed to get good digs, and no hassle service, and we got everything we could ask for. The staff could not have been more friendly or more helpfull, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of food was excellent. The complex is one of the oldest in Cabo I believe, and some signs of wear were inevitably present, but the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was first class. I would particularly single out the staff of the "Taco" bar for praise in the way they looked after us, and accomodated our requests for Tacos incorporating the fish we had caught. The big test comes in the question, "Would we go back to the Solmar?", YES, WE WOULD, and I look forward to doing just that. Tom & Derek, two anglers from Gloucestershire UK.
“Time of our lives!! Best food, drinks, pool, staff, service, swim up bar, views!”
Everything was very wonderful, such good care and accomodation especially for my 91 yr old grandmother from the staff. The only downfall was the construction which if they had the music on at the pool you didn't really pay attention to it. Plus free 10 min chair massages at the pool and free internet with all inclusive! Muchas gracias to Gonzalo, Daniel, Jose Luis, Placido, the chefs, Alejandro, Moises!!!
