“Great for getting away from the Spring Break crowd”
Our first visit to Cabo, wanted a place to stay that wasn't a resort-type of lodging, and this place was pretty cool. A castle to be sure! Awesome architecture. We rented our own car, and given the steepness of the climb up that mountain, we never tried to actually walk down, so I wouldn't really recommend that. Brian was awesome, stayed up late to meet us after our arrival was delayed 40 hours (looooong story and it's the fault of American Airlines, not The Castle's), with us arriving sometime well after midnight. BEST chilaquiles I've ever had for breakfast, and I've had them a lot. Just having that awesome breakfast (try an omelet too) delivered to your room each morning by a smiling face, made it so worth the trip. If you want to be out of Cabo San Lucas proper, like we did, and get to see a spectacular view from your balcony, and be surrounded by the friendliest of people, you'll love this place.
“Great Place”
Great place to stay with a view of Cabo San Lucas. Very helpful and friendly staff. Felt like we were locals. You will need to use a cab or hike to all of the action, but really nice to get back to your villa at the end of the day. Beautiful trip!
“Can't wait to go back”
This was my third trip to Cabo San Lucas. I had always stayed at 5 star resorts. I firmly believe that the Castillo blaney Inn is one of Cabo's best kept secretes.Great views, great food and hospitality.I will definately stay at the Blaney on my next trip.
“Kings of the Castle”
Castillo Blarney INN or the Blarney Castle Inn is a boutique hotel with 7 suites, a 2 bedroom hidden house and and two bedroom Penthouse. Has a Pool, Hot tub, two bars and a restaurant. The staff is efficient and friendly and the Manager Brian also doubles as the concierge. Whatever you want, You can have at the Castle. Food is great. THE view is stupendous as the Castle sits on a hill overlooking Cabo San Lucas and the Ocean. If you want activities Brian will arrange them , usually with a nice discount. The food and drink at the castle is top notch and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is included with your room. It takes about 12 minutes to walk to town or a 5-7 dollar cab ride does it in 3-5 minutes. We stayed in the Two Bedroom two bath hidden house and we never wanted to leave. I can't wait to go back.
“A different and fun experience!Superb value for the money. We'll be back!”
This was a unique experience for us. We had already booked accommodation on the Marina for two weeks in Cabo and decided late to add a third week to the beginning of our trip. We chose the Blarney Castle because of the great reviews. They are all true - and more. We had great time there. The rooms were nothing fancy, but comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Spectacular views of the city and the Sea of Cortez from up the hill. You don't get that from most high-end resorts! Breakfast was great. Evelyn did a super job with breakfast and keeping our room clean! She also tried to teach me some Spanish. Everyone on the staff, from the groundskeeper to the night watchman, ALWAYS had a smile on her face and went out of their way to make sure our every request was met. Brian was a superb host. He took us to Wal-Mart for groceries (bread, bakery, veggies all superb), leant me things I needed which were not the norm (a GREAT consierge), took us along on a business trip to Todos Santos for company. Basically, Brian and his staff treated us like family from the moment we got there. This is a small hotel, so you can meet the other guests. We met some who come every year and learned “the lay of the land”. It’s a fifteen minute downhill walk to the action downtown. You will need to take a taxi back (Cheap). Cabo is wonderful. Go to “Sleepless Lobster”, “Maros” & Cabo Wabo. The water taxi from marina to lover's beach/Los Arcos/Divorce beach was fun. We'll go again!
“not quite as advertised”
We enjoyed our stay at the Castle. It is a charming inn with very accommodating and friendly staff ( thanks for the private tour Alex) as well as a fantastic view overlooking the Cabo marina. Our package included a good variety of breakfast choices but we were disappointed to discover that Brennan's restaurant was not open for other meals. Commuting to and from the hotel would be much easier if one had their own vehicle or a rental.
