“Great Hotel and Location”

Great Hotel in a great location, only steps from main area of Hollywood, rooms are large, supermarket close by, cannot believe this is only a 2 star hotel. Rooms are definately worth the price, especially with free breakfast and internet. Would highly recommend.

“Awesome location, Great price, big rooms”

This place was great, staff were really friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was an awesome start to the day. Stayed for 3 nights couldn't be in a better location, we really only went to LA to go to Universal Studios and Disneyland, Universal is so close by car, Disneyland a bit further away. Safe area and quiet at night, considering Hollywood Blvd is right around the corner. Rooms are big cleaned daily, secure underground parking. Would definitely recommend Orchid Suites to anyone travelling to LA, which can be a pretty expensive city. Can't wait to come back and stay a bit longer!

“Perfect for Hollywood!”

Even though the hotel was under some renovations, and scheduled to close for a complete overhaul, it was immaculate. The service was friendly and very professional, reminded me of a trip to Europe. It backed to the mall, which didn't leave any views from your room, but the loaction could not have been any more perfect. Walking distance to everything a Hollywood tourist would need. The breakfast area was small, but had all the variety one would expect from a larger hotel. The underground parking was excellent since we didn't need the car during our stay, and felt safe leaving it for the duration of our visit. Excellent choice overall!

“Perfect location!!!”

The Orchid Suites has the best location if you are interested in visiting the Hollywood Blvd area. The staff were really nice and helpful. My only negative would be the age of the appliances in the kitchen. Luckily we didn't need to utilize any of the kitchen area this trip.

“Location can't be beat! Don't even need your car to walk to Hollywood Blvd!”

The location of this hotel is it's best asset! It may be a bit outdated, but the rooms are plenty spacious, and being able to leave your car in the (free) parking garage while you stroll Hollywood Boulevard is priceless! They also offer free wi-fi and continental breakfast, which is always a plus! Definitely recommend!

“Apartment style in the heart of Hollywood”

The main reason I booked this hotel is because of its convenient location. Although not your 5 star hotel, this hotel has everything I need: - 5 mins walk to all the main Hollywood attractions: Chinese Theater, Kodak Theatre, Mdm Taussuds, Hollywood Museum, tour companies which takes you to tours likes the movie star home tours and the Metro Red line which takes you to Universal Studio and Warner Bros in 1 stop at $1.50. - Free parking, free wifi, free breakfast. Parking is gated and secure. Wifi is at reasonable speed because there are not many rooms hence not many guests are using the internet at the same time. Breakfast is simple and light but there are trays for you to have your breakfast in the comfort and privacy of your room. - A well equipped kitchen in every room with fridge (not bar fridge), toaster, microwave, gas cooktop, oven, sink and utensils. - Room is huge. Decor is a bit old and tired but clean. Bathroom is a little small but I find the heater fan useful in November. All in all, not your typical luxury hotel but convenient, clean and has everything I need. After all, you go to Hollywood not to spend time in your hotel room but outside! Enjoy! I did!

“Simple hotel in a great location.”

This is directly next door to the Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood and Highland. Pay half the price for a room that is bigger, though not nearly as nice. We thought it was a great deal.

“Great location and price, highly recomment”

Was not expecting such a big suite, came with its own kitchen, big bedroom and nice sized bathroom. Really great location just behind the Kodak Theater. The only downside is that the walls are a bit on the thin side and could hear next doors TV. Apart from that, its great.

“Best choice for the $$”

First, I do travel a lot so I'm looking for the best bang for the $$. This is a great choice if you are interested in the Hollywood Blvd area. I arrived by train in the early morning and they put my bags behind the counter until check-in. I wanted to take pictures of Frank Sinatra's star/s for my grandson so they even looked them up for me. The room was huge and absolutely spotless (even behind the doors etc.) and the help as nice as I've ever found. Ever! Even though it is security key entry only, they monitor the doors very closely. Even though I saw no need, it is a very secure environment for those who worry about such things. Everything about this hotel is excellent except the wireless internet really really sucks. May as well say there is none but the PC in the breakfast room even has a printer. Great place to stay and you can not beat the price. I will book here again. Tips: Cut through the mall to get to Hollywood BLVD. (slight right angle out the front door, up the ramp to the mall, take a left to the mall courtyard and look right. Hollywood gets up late (for a country boy like me) and the Hotel doesn't even make coffee until 8AM. Neither does anyone else but McDonald's is just a short walk left down the Blvd and they do. Lots of tour guide services along the Blvd and I suggest you take one but negotiate the price. My open top van trip cost $20, not the $39 they asked for. *I think these reviews are a great help so I hope my review is useful to you.*
