"The motel is simple. The room is basic but the bed was terrific. Had an awesome sleep. Bathroom shower was a bit gross. They need to be replaced. Also found out that this particular motel has permanent residents. HWY noise was minimum and the motel is close to amenities. Overall I'd give this motel a solid 7/10."

Imperial Motel
2.0 star property
6.8 out of 10, (166)
"The room itself was mediocre, it was older, and still had the old style key for the door instead of an electronic card ! Lol. It was a little run down and old furnishings however it was inexpensive, very clean, and the girl at the desk was very polite, friendly and helpful , even when I had a small issue when signing onto Wifi with my laptop. I had noisy inconsiderate neighbors upstairs but that was just my bad luck. For the money it was a decent stay."

Lakewood Inn
2.5 star property

"There were no facecloths, the towels were stained, the WiFi wasn't working, and the air conditioner quit working around 5 pm. The room was very warm. When I mentioned that the WiFi wasn't working, the fellow told me to use the pub's WiFi. It was connected, but no internet the whole time we were there. I will say, though that when I mentioned that I would like to change my room from one bed, (as I was with my son) to a two bed, I was graciously given a room with 2 beds. I am grateful for a place...

Rustic 1 Bdrm Suite, Lakeside - Wolf Den

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Wolf Den. It was true to the listing, and well appointed. Our swim in the lake was memorable, though it was a bit of a hike down to the water. The hosts were very friendly, introducing us to their dog, Peaches, and rescue parrot, Woody, pulling out swimming floaties for us, and offering a lot of interesting information about the property. Thanks for the wonderful stay!"

Lakefront Privacy off Canada's Fishing Highway (Hwy 24) in BC Cariboo
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (18)
"Beautiful lake, cabin was semi-clean, needs a deep clean. Cabin has a strong, musty mothballs smell( not pleasant in my opinion). For the price that we paid per night, I felt that firewood should be included. We had some cold, rainy days and the inside electric fire sound like it was going to blow up so we had to turn the stove on to warm up the place. Barbeque that they provided was not in good repair and was full of cigarette butts."

Lake-front on the prettiest lake in the Cariboo
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"We had a great family vacation! The lake was wonderful for the kids to swim and explore, kayaking was fun on the calm water. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The little kids enjoyed the swings and playing games in the yard. Everyone fell in love with the duck that visited every day for treats! Fishing...well...that wasn't so good but it was relaxing. We were quite disappointed the hot tub wasn't available. All in all, though, this was a great place for our annual family...
