“1 night stay”
I would only reccommend this hotel if you are staying for only one night. It was in a convienent location, very close to Victoria train station and the staff was nice enough to let me check in early and hold my bags after check in as I had a late flight. They put me in a room in the basement and called it Mews. If you do stay in this hotel request to be put on a higher level. The bed was uncomfortable and the wireless was not free.
“Topham's Hotel No Go!”
I didn't actually stay at this hotel because my sister and I refused. We requested two separate beds and we were given a roll away and a double crammed into an over furnished room. The door would not even open and close properly. Having said this we were transferred to another hotel suite in Knightsbridge which was very pleasant and spacious.
“Don't expect much”
I booked 1 single bad for 2 nights but 1st night I had to stay at room with bathroom because it was located on the corridor. I was feeling like at hostel not 4* !!! hotel. Definitly you can find better hotels around Victoria station. Hotel (for the sake of good order) freezed GBP 50 during the check-in and I still don't see any purpose of this.
“Bait and Switch”
Comfortable room, good location. Wireless was down during my stay so I ended up late nights working on the lobby guest computer. Every night someone would come in really upset, saying they had booked a Tophams room but was given a room in the "sister hotel" down the street where the rooms were terrible. Each night the victim would argue that they should not be paying Topham's prices for the sister hotel, and each night the clerk would assure the guest that they could talk with a manager in the morning, but the clerk had no power. They overbook like crazy and give the later arrivals a really bad hotel down the block. Anyway, at checkout, 8am, I asked about a discount for the wifi. The clerk glanced at our luggage and said she was sorry but she had no power to do that but the manager would be in at 1pm (obviously we were heading out to the airport). She said I could instead email and the manager would promptly respond. Of course I emailed twice with no response and had to dispute the charge with the credit card company. The hotel is OK but beware you may be the victim who gets there late and gets put down the street!
“Great hotel!”
Hotel was close to the Underground and Buckingham Palace. Also the room is clean and very modern in comfort. Would definitely stay there again! Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.
“Costly but quite lovely and convenient”
Both a shower and a tub ina spacious bath room The only complaint was the A/C was set at 21 C a little too warm for us.
“Nice Hotel, well located”
The hotel was very nice, clean, and the street wasn't busy at night, and so the night was peaceful. The staff were helpful. The location is great, only a few blocks from Victoria Station and the Palace and Mews. The Expedia price was very competitive with other hotels around this area, otherwise I likely wouldn't have stayed here!
