“Great stay if the price is right”
The Rembrandt is a well-known even storied address in Kensington. It is very close to the South Ken tube and across from the V&A so if that's your desired neighborhood, it is just about perfect. At the price we paid, in late November, for 3 nights it was excellent value for the quality delivered: a room much larger than we are used to in London, large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, free internet. The staff were efficient and friendly, the room was quiet, the bed was sleep inducing. We did not partake of the restaurant, lounge or in-room minibar. Management is very keen on soliciting one's opinion as to the hotel quality - if conditions were less happy previously, then clearly work has been undertaken improve it. This hotel was a bit of a splurge for us but we'd definitely return if the low season rates can be had again.
“Great place”
Nice place to stay. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable beds.
“Great Location beware of service in lounge”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was convenient to transportation, shopping & museums in the area. The room was a nice surprise in space and size of bed. The included breakfast was a full English breakfast. Was disappointed in the service or lack there of received when visiting the 1606 lounge. We would definitely return to this location in the future, but would recommend more of the staff be English speaking and better able to understand the customers and their requests.
“Great Location”
With museums, Royal Albert Hall and Harrods at your doorstep and very close to South Kensington station, this is an excellent location in central London. Our only criticisims were of the noisy, crowded breakfast room and occasionally slow lifts.
“Very friendly athmosphere great locaqtion”
Nice hotel with very helpful staff. Accomendating with late check in as well as holding baggage.Great deal for the price.
“Making it in expensive London”
Overall--good value for London.
“Great place”
Wonderful location, convenient to Tube, several museums, many nice restaurants, Harrods, and interesting residential neighborhoods. Room was actually available at 0845 when we arrived, and we were upgraded--I know not why. Room was modern and clean with good beds, a safe, a splendid bathroom. It was quiet (we had asked for a quiet room). Altho we were hoping for a queen bed and thought those were few, our room had a king size bed. Concierge staff were helpful to a fault. Wireless in the lobby and restaurant were good. Would have been nice to have it in the room, too. Breakfast buffet included was more than adequate--should have shunned the bangers and croissant and had the healthier items. I would certainly stay there again. I'd be surprised if the good deal we got was still available, but I would actually pay more than we had to.
“Great Convenience, great place”
We enjoyed our stay here as we were able to walk and ride most conveniently. The food was very good, the room very nice, the lounge and dining areas great for entertaining and quiet drinks. Great central location and nearby underground, and mixed restaurants soking up the local culture.
“Very nice and would return”
Our room was nice, clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very good. The hotel is in an excellent location.
“The breakfast buffet makes it worthwhile”
We stayed at the Rembrandt a year ago and found that its location is ideal for many things that we enjoyed doing. It is right across from the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National History Museum. Harrods is a short walk the other direction. We went back last week and stayed with them again. The room this time was not as nice, however. The floors squeaked a lot and we not only heard others walking, we worried about bothering others when we came in late. The street noise could be bothersome as well. The room needed a little updating, but was clean and the bed comfy. I think the breakfast buffet is what makes this hotel different from others in London. It has a wonderful assortment of European style breakfast food. High five for that. They also offer a nice afternoon tea at reasonable prices. They have free wifi, which can really make a difference when you need the service. Overall I would recommend the Rembrandt but I would like to suggest that they begin their updating and try to reduce the floor creaking.
