“A Great Stay”
From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed. They were courteous & friendly & very willing to be of help. My room was comfortable.
“really nice London hotel”
very nice independently owned hotel. I've stayed here several times over the last 20 years. The staff is very helpful and generally are the same people i dealt with on my first stay here. I really like the quiet location with the garden behind the hotel. very convenient to Victoria Station
“Pam's deam trip to London”
The Goring Hotel was everything I had expected - delightful, helpful staff; lovely building; wonderful restaurant and bar; great location. Room service was quick and responsive; concierge was helpful; doorman knew who I was and welcomed me back every time. Since I was traveling alone, this was comforting to me. Only complaint was the TV - only got 6 channels; I don't know if I was doing something wrong but I wish I had asked about it. Still, I was not in my room enough to really care! I would definitely stay again - preferably in the summer when I could enjoy the terrance and gardens.
“So good we extended our stay”
After getting a tremendous deal on Expedia for this hotel, we were suprised to read all the rave reviews. On arrival we found out that everything was true. Everyone welcomed us with open arms and bent over backwards to do everything and anything they could to accommodate us. For example we were able to reserve a table in the bar where we could enjoy our own special champagne with our visiting friends (nominal corkage was charged). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy London, and I will be making sure it is #1 in my list for my next trip.
“Last of the breed”
Family owned for 100 years as of 2010, The Goring is the last of the traditional London hotels where they remember your name, have a concierge staff that never fails to deliver, a front door staff that is always at the ready, etc. Service is formal but never too much so. The large private garden is unique in London and the location in Belgravia is close to major shopping and many fine restaurants.
“wonderful service and ambience!”
LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GORING. WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK. EVERYONE WAS SO FRIENDLY, AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT IN THE BARS AND RESTAURANTS. AFTERNOON TEA WAS LOVELY. SO GREAT TO EXPERIENCE THE GENTEEL LUXURY OF THE BRITS!
“Everyone should stay here while in london !!!!”
we could not be happier that we took advantage of this flight/hotel deal from expedia! the goring is staffed by exceptionally competent, professional caring individuals. our room was extremely bright and cheery, and the bathroom was even equipped with a towel warmer.....a small luxury that made us feel divine! the location is perfect-steps from victoria station (tube and train), buckingham palace and the royal mews, AND theaters & restaurants- the concierge even arranged for us to get tickets to see 'billy elliott' the very same evening-excellent seats to boot! i highly recommend the goring to anyone staying in london-even families with children. we will definitley be staying there again.
“Nice but pricey”
This is a very nice hotel in a fantastic location. We appreciated the free Wi-Fi and IT center. It would have been nice, considering how much we paid per night, for a full breakfast to be included. Breakfast was very overpriced.
“A truly excellent hotel”
Posh but reserved. In the very best of taste. Our room might have been the worst in the place (it was next to the room service kitchen and had no view), but it was still well-sized and impeccably turned out. Marvelously sound-proofed. Service might have been a bit stiff and overly solicitous for this Yank, but I'm not complaining. It was part of the fun. Book if you can!
“A lovely smaller hotel”
The Goring is a smaller, yet very lovely hotel in a great part of London. owned by the family for over 100 years, the quality of service is first-rate and warm. The rooms are fine, if a bit on the small side, and the dining room is first rate. Overall, this is a fine choice that won't break the bank.
