“convenient quiet location not to far from city”
Nice quiet neighborhood very close to the underground stop. Not far from the city. Good value for money. Cheaper places to eat breakfast nearby. Nicely appointed room and decent size.
“great place to stay in London”
Excelent service, rooms are big enough for 2 adults 2 kids. great breakfast!
“I would recommend this hotel”
Staff was nice. Hotel room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. Neigborhood was easy to access to all sites and central London. Close enough to public transportation and local shops and local restaurant.
“Sonia”
They forgot the baby cot which I requested a month in advance and we arrived very late so it was a nightmare to get my son to sleep. They they just brought me a duvet to put on the floor so my soon could sleep on the floor. I was so angry. In the end they brought a fold-away bed but it was midnight. The next day I told them to remember to put a baby cot in the room. But they forgot again. We had to request it once more. That was upsetting. The bed we slept in also was a bit old. The mattress was on its last leg. But all in all the staff were very nice. The tube was close by as well but during our stay many of the tube lines were closed so we ended up having to take taxis everywhere.
“best hotel in Maida Vale”
A great place to stay - clean and comfortable- close to tube and bus line
“Would definitely stay there again.”
Although the area wasn't our first choice (we were hoping to stay near Hyde Park as we had in the past, but the hotels near there were either too pricey, or the reviews we saw didn't sound too appealing). When searching for travel deals we happened to stumble upon this hotel and were happy we did so. It was nice knowing that we would be staying in a hotel with an "American" size room (instead of the typically small European hotel room with the potential for a shared bathroom). There was a Starbucks practically next door (another plus), a very nice pub two blocks away, and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk to the Underground, so getting around was very easy. From the airport we took the Heathrow Express to Paddington, and then the Underground to the Kilburn Park station. This worked just fine, although it was difficult maneuvering with luggage. Returning to the airport, we took a taxi to Paddington (the Kilburn Park station was closed that morning) and then the Heathrow Express to the airport. According to the taxi driver, the cost would have been the same to take a taxi directly from the airport to the hotel as it was to travel by Heathrow Express. The only word of warning, if you have children and are looking forward to using the pool, the pool is actually part of a healthclub in the building adjacent to the hotel and children are not permitted after 6:00 PM.
“Great hotel in lovely neighborhood”
We went to London to visit our daughter who is studying abroad. This hotel was very close to her and so it was convenient for us. It was near bus stops and a tube station, making it convenient to other areas of the city as well. The room was lovely and larger than expected. The hotel was quiet and a great place to come after a day of touring. It is close to restaurants and some shopping, also. We would recommend it to other travelers to London!
“Exactly what a young family wanted”
Some trepidation going to the big city with ther young family was immediately allayed by nice check in staff, big room and just the perfect breakfast. These guys can teach a lot of people a lesson in how to come up with the goods...what is on the box is definetly in the tin!
“Great Stay!!”
This was hotel was perfect for what I needed. It was close enough to the city (about 15 minutes by tube, yet far enough so that it was nice and quite. Really located in absolutely lovely area. Close to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Great stay. Couldn't be happier!
“Mixed feelings”
This hotel is in a great location. Just a short walk to the Beetles Abby rd studio I was not impressed with the pool that is actually attached to a health club next door to the hotel and is off limits to children most of the day.
