“Good location, solid but not luxurious”

Located near Regents Park with restaurants, pubs, and tube stations nearby. A great home base in London with no worries about neighborhood if coming home late or leaving early. Room was European-small and one lamp had a burnt out light. But it was otherwise clean, up to date, and in perfect working order. Hotel staff themselves were fantastic, especially in arranging a cab for an early morning dash to Heathrow.

“Would recommend but”

Hotel was fine. accessible if one doesn't mind the 10 min walk from nearest Tube station. Was disappointed with internet access. Under the impression that complimentary internet access was available. My daughter needed to get online so we were going to pay but staff was in the dark about what to do and finally we were told they were changing their server/provider.Got mis-informed by front desk about Changing of the Guards at Buckingham and we ended up waiting in the cold for nothing. Staff was nice but they need to be more knowledgeable. Careful about moving stuff in mini-bar fridge. They automatically register as purchases so check your rooT

Area recommendations

Anywhere near the major parks. Most of these are accessible to train(Tube) stations. We were close to Regent Park and the area is nice and quiet and you can walk to the shopping at Oxford st.,and walkable to some of the museums.

Dining

There is no shortage of choices of cuisine. Must try at least once, the neighborhood pub.

Very nice place, great location, very clean. Bathrooms were little small. The only negative thing: there was no internet (there was a problem). And I hear that even when the internet was working, it was not free... hey, but this is the UK.

“Good enough”

Found this hotel to be adequate for what I needed. As most European hotel rooms, I found this one to be quite small. It got very crowded quickly. The location was OK, walking distance to everywhere. Restaurant and lounge were reasonable. Food was decent though only had breakfast there. Concierge was helpful, booked a couple of trips through them

“responsive staff”

I was impressed with the service of the hotel front desk. The first room we were given on the 2nd floor was not so good (I would rank a 2-3), but when I complained the staff quickly and without fuss made a change to a room on the 5th floor which appeared to be more recently renovated, more comfortable, better designed, and represented an extremely good value. I would have been unsatisfied with my stay if we hadn't been moved. The staff also made cost-saving recommendations for travel to Heathrow (via minicab). Sainsbury Local (a market), Starbucks and Villandry (restaurant and gourmet take-away) were extremely close by, so breakfast at the hotel was not necessary.

“So and so”

The location of the hotel is ideal. Near Madame Tussauds museum, end the city center. But the hotel is not quite a 4 star place. Looks like a 3. Rooms are very small, the bathrooms old fasion style and the services are poor. Asa a positive part, I would mention the underground station nearby, and a non-stop store right at the corner

Area recommendations

Visit the London Eye. The view is nice. But don't go at London Dungeon. It's a waist of time. The food in China town is excelent

“Great Place to Stay”

Came to London with my daughter. They made us feel like we were at home. The temperatures were cold, but the Hotel was warm. Lots of good places to eat within a couple of blocks, and the tube was very close. We will stay here again.

Area recommendations

The meseums were great, natural history and Science. The restaurants in the department stores were very good and reasonably priced.
