“Very rude and unreliable front desk service”

I stayed at the hotel for 14 days and would not go back!! The front desk staff is extremely rude and very unhelpful and unreliable!! Also for the average price per night - the hotel does not provide a 4star service - the hotel lobby is just terrible and very lousy definitely not matching the standard! There are definitely better hotels in the surrounding area so look somewhere else!

“Hotel near Victoria Station”

Our only negative was that the television in our room on the return to London did not work very well, The picture kept breaking up.

“Hidden secret”

What a great location, close to the tube, theatre, shops, Buckingham Palace the lot, all within walking distance. The staff were polite and friendly and the Hotel very clean and comfortable. Will stay at the Hesperia London Victoria again.

“Good value, but noise from the station can be a problem”

Good value for the money. Room size not bad for central London. Room furnishings were worn, but it was clean. Avoid the rooms facing Victoria Station if possible. The night I stayed there an electric forklift started working steadily at 3:30 am, making a beeping sound exactly like a digital alarm clock.

“Great location”

This hotel is located in a wonderful area! Right next to a major tube station in london and multiple restaurants.... but the room itself is ok. Small room with so so service. But honestly... the location more than makes up for the room!!!

“Good location”

Great place to stay. It would be better, if they have breakfast included. Very clean and comfortable. the only problem was no WI FI on the 9th floor and i had to go to the lobby, which had good connectivity.

“Stayed there for our honeymoon and would go back!”

This hotel is literally next door to the Victoria train station which is extremely convenient! For those travelers who aren't familiar with the area; from the Underground just go towards the National Railway exit and go out the exit door nearest to Starbucks. When you go outside, the hotel will be right in front of you! We were on the 4th floor and never heard any traffic or train activity. We arrived later in the evening so our first meal was at the hotel. The room service menu has many options and we enjoyed our food. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and eager to help! The concierge was able to help us arrange for transportation to Heathrow via a private car and it only took about 30 minutes to get there. We were very happy with our stay and we would definitely consider staying at Hesperia again!

Getting around

The Victoria line is very busy and the subway can get extremely congested-especially during rush hours. If you attempt to use the subway (Underground) to get to the airport, beware of pickpockets and watch your stuff! If you are looking for more dinning options, there are plenty of places to eat just outside Leicester Station. We highly recommend a Japanese okonomiyaki restaurant called Abeno Too. It's a small, cosy restaurant about 2 minutes walk from Leicester Station. The food is delicious!

Dining

The Hesperia hotel is within walking distance to Buckingham Palace. There are plenty of restaurants in the Victoria train station and also in the neighborhood. If you fancy sushi, there's a place on the 2nd floor of the station which has sushi a moving belt. We didn't get a chance to try it out, but the prices seem reasonable.

Events and shows

We saw Les Miserables at the Queen's theater and it was amazing! There are many theaters along the same street so there are a plethora of shows to choose from!

“great location near train station”

this hotel was located right near the train station. that was the good part. unfortunately, the surrounding areas were just okay. the hotel's breakfast buffet was very good and the people at the front desk were very nice. the person who was supposed to be a "concierge" did not help with reservations and was not knowledgable. he was a bellman who attempted to help with other things. they did not vacuum the floor because i had dropped a tag off of an item and it stayed there until i threw it away. it was okay, still not that cheap for what you get, but i was never before in london, so i don't know if this is the norm.

“Nice Hotel in Convienent Location”

I had a King size room which by American standards is more of a small queen. Well kept hotel across the street from Victoria Rail Station where you can also catch the Tube. Even though it is across from the rail station I didn't hear a train at all during my stay. Overall the hotel is quiet which is nice. It's also convienent for sight-seeing as Buckingham Palace is 10 min walk. Traveling alone I also felt safe in the neighborhood and returning to the hotel after dark. Hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way if you needed anything. The concierge was also great when I wanted to arrange for a taxi to get me to the airport. Overall a lovely little hotel that I would patron again.
