“Fine hotel, not great service but very nice neighborhood”

Nice common areas, clean rooms. Staff inexplicably grumpy over a 3-night stay. Internet, which is an extra charge, very unreliable.

“Not impressed”

If you compare a 4 star in USA with a 4 star in Europe you will clearly be dissapointed. Very small rooms.

“Nice city hotel, very expensive breakfast”

Very efficient and friendly staff, small but elegant and comfortable rooms, ridiculous breakfast prices -- had to take the kids and find cheaper alternatives, which wasn't too hard, but inconvenient. Great place if you're on an expense account, pricey food if you're a tourist with a family. Staff exceptionally conscientious.
