“Not impressed”
Not recommended location, sevice is not professioinal. In original room the airconditioning did not work. Service at the resturant was not good.
“Near Train Station and in front of the Royal Victoria Dock”
Hotel is at very good location, near DLR Trains (Royal Victoria Station) which takes you in 20 minutes to city centre. Hotel is in front of the Royal Victoria Dock. Good neighborhood, although there isn't much to do surround. Hotel rooms are comfortable and facilities (swimming pool, sauna and steam room) clean. Restaurant is also good. Breakfast is complete, but everyday the same. But it is worthy. I'd go back when visiting London. This hotel is very near to the London City Airport.
“Very nice but services are expensive.”
The look of the hotel is up to date and very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was internet access was really expensive for a 24 hour period. I should have done a little more research before I arrived in London so I wouldn't have been so shocked. The breakfast buffet was ok but also expensive. We ended up going down the road about a block either way to get coffee and a donut or fruit in the morning. Much cheaper! There are a few nice restaurants within walking distance that are very good and reasonably priced.
“perefect location for the Excel”
was in London for the boat show. arrived by planed to London city airport just 10 minutes from london city airport to the closest DLR station from the hotel. 3 minutes from the DLR station to the hotel. 5 minutes walking distance to the excel building hotel was nice. very nice buffet breakfast. swimming pool downstairs was convenient in the morning. clean and new hotel. nice large room. perfect stay
