“Enjoyable Experience”

The position of the Hotel so near Hyde Park made our stay in London more enjoyable as it allowed us to escape the hustle and bustle of our Capital. The staff we met were extremely friendly and willing to help and as the hotel was very clean, the unseen staff must have been equally efficient. Another bonus worth mentioning were the sheets-bliss.

“Commodore Hotel provides good accomodation.”

Easy to find from Paddington Station using Heathrow Express. A comfortable, clean hotel with excellent service. Would recommend. Need to update their travel information...Heathrow A2 bus stopped service 3-4 years ago!

“An absolute jewel!”

I have had to travel to London on business from the Midlands around once a month for the past decade. I'm always on a tight budget so I stay at different places depending on what deal is currently available. As I get older (I'm very nearly Forty!) I've begun to require a bit more comfort etc and so in the last few years I generally opt for 4 Stars wherever I go. First of all, this is a genuine Four Star hotel. Many 4 Stars in London can leave you feeling that it was a nice reception, shame about the room! This place is the Real Deal! Here's why: 1) Decent size - the room was way bigger than any 4 Star London hotels I've stopped in. 2) The Bed - it was a fantastic double bed and by far the most comfortable I have ever slept in any hotel. 3) The En-Suite - one or two loose tiles on the wall near the door and the WC was placed a little too close to the wall. Otherwise, the bathroom was superb. Great, full tiling; sparkling clean; fully equipped; huge (HUGE) shower area (had to be 8'x8' at least). Just wonderful. 4) The Service - every single member of staff smiled and was courteous (yes, this was London). They went out of their way to be nice. I must mention the location as well. You're around 3-4 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and the setting couldn't be better. You are across the road from Hyde Park and the buildings surrounding the Commodore are lovely pieces of architecture. You can bet I'll be looking to come here again.

“Impressed for 3 nights”

Traveled with my partner to UK from Kazakhstan and stayed at the Commodore late August 2008 and really enjoyed it. The hotel was fine for our needs (3 nights, sightseeing in London, staff were helpful and friendly , room was clean and comfortable, only problem being the 'creaky' floorboards from the room above and whoever was staying there walking around the room all night it seemed! It's a good central hotel, easy access to Hyde Park, not far from tube and we would happily stay there again on any other visit to London. Reccommended.

“Very Nice”

I enjoyed the commodore hotel very much. It's location on Hyde Park was great. The hotel lobby and bar were really nice. My room was very small but clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and new. The breakfast was good as well. I am planning to stay there again in May.

“nice quiet location”

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous. We were expecting a small room (given that this was London), but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. The free continental breakfast was good too (it helped to have a one free meal a day, as food was so expensive in London). We also loved the location...it was close to Paddington station (you can take the Heathrow Express from there) and just a block away from Lancaster Gate station on the Central line. We also discovered that also a block away was a house that J. Barrie (author of Peter Pan) used to live in. My husband would go for a run every morning at Hyde Park, just across from the hotel. We would definitely stay at the Commodore Hotel again.

“Hotel review”

hotel was great, perfect location, complimentary breakfast was awesome. the only thing i didn't like is that they made their guests pay for internet use. don't agree with that. Everything was great.

“Fine place to stay”

The Commodore Hotel gave me exactly what I expected: a very small room at the price I was looking for. I requested a single room - it had a comfortable twin bed, a tiny closet, and a clean bathroom. The single room is very small but reasonably priced. If you're there to see London and only sleep in the room, it's fine. This room had no space for a desk or chair, so if you need to do a lot of work in the evening on your laptop, you might want a larger room with a desk. The hotel itself is very nice with a parlor area that offers newspapers and tea. I ate breakfast in the hotel restaraunt - the food was good with a choice of continental style or full menu. Hyde Park is a short block away, and a bus stop and pub are a few blocks from the hotel. I took the train from Heathrow to Paddington Station, then walked from Paddington to the hotel - 10 minutes or so. A shop next to the closest pub, on Baywater Road, had a very good map of London including bus stops and underground stations. I'd definitely stay there again, - hopefully with the wife next time in a larger room!
