“Great location”

Great hotel if you are visiting London for few days. Located right by St. Paul's cathedral and very close to the tube. I think that 4 star rating is a bit misleading. I would say 3 star at best.

“Wish I could stay at Club Quarters whenever I travel”

This hotel is in the banking district so it is a little out of the way, but given the amount of traffic and tourists that were in London this weekend being out of the way meant quiet and peaceful. The staff were very professional and helpful and out rooms were small but very clean and comfortable.

Dining

There is a Leon restaurant down the road. We don't have this chain in the States, and my teenagers loved it. Healthy, small plate meals in a low key, cool environment.

“Highly recommend for stay in London.”

I had read previous reviews for this hotel and decided to take a chance based on the positive feedbacks. I have to say that I was quite impressed so was my husband. Our room had a queen bed with a cot put in for my son - who thought it was great he had his own twin bed. The room had a kitchenette and a fridge so you could buy food at the local M&S just a few steps away. The room is small by North American standards however, for Europe it was quite good. Modern, clean and well designed. I appreciated the fact that we had wireless included in the price and a TV that had more than 5 channels to watch although we did not stay in the room much. I would definitely recommend Club Quarter's St. Paul - you must do St. Paul's cathedral if you are there as well! We are planning a return trip and we will be staying here.

Area recommendations

I would recommend Covent gardens which is a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel. Lots of shops and a great food market during the day however, you have to find a place to sit as the restaurants and pubs provide covered patios for their patrons. The food in the market is quite tasty and for the money you get alot - yes even in British pounds it is worth it! If you are really up to it you can the other way along Regent street to Oxford Circus - this is a fairly long walk so put your walking shoes on. It has great character, many stores - familiar and unfamiliar but plenty of cafes to stop at, catch your breath, eat. You can't miss with the food. If had more room I would recommend a few places for to try. With London the key is to a great experience is to live like the locals to some degree - jump on the underground and check out various areas. So much history to experience and shopping and eating beyond belief!

“Wonderful area. Would go there anytime”

The staff was very helpful. The room was very clean as was the rest of the Hotel. It's location to sights and public transportation, and the helpful attitude of the staff got me around to many different places in London with little effort. The area was also very nice for strolls and some shopping.

Getting around

The tube (Underground) and buses area very convient and a for 6.60 pounds you can have an allday pass that includes the underground and buses for zones 1 & 2 the (main area of the city). Quick they run often.

“Perfect location”

Loved this hotel. Room was perfect, location right by the St. Paul's cathedral and Millenium bridge. Convenience store right across the street. Travel guides and dictionaries for personal use in the room. Microwave, coffee, everything you would need for an overnight stay. Modern, clean decor. Friendly staff. My taxi arrived right on time. Couldn't have asked for more!!!

“Worked out perfectly.”

We were looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel for just a couple of nights in the City and this was just the ticket. The location was exactly what we wanted. Close to the Tube (subway), and convenient walking distance (admittedly, we're walkers) to many sites. Our room was relatively spacious, the service was helpful, breakfast was nice, and the price was right, We were on just the second floor on the street side of the building, so we heard some traffic noise Friday and Saturday evenings, but not enough to keep us awake. All in all, very satisfactory.

The City for sites there and east (e.g., the Tower), Kensington for quiet and proximity to parks, etc

“A pleasant stay”

Good all around location and value. Upon arrival the front desk clear was nowhere to be found. The security/maintenance lad was very helpful though and the desk man appeared 15 miinutues later and was slow in checking me in and so forth. Aside from the initial check in experience (shabby) service was good and can't beat the place for the price, location and confort.
