“Didn't want to leave”
A bit pricey, but the location is unbeatable, apartments are spacious, courtyard is delightful, and the staff is cheerful and super-attentive. We asked for a bandage when a member of our party had a minor cut, and instead, someone showed up with a first aid kit, applied the bandage herself, and shared a home-remedy to heal the wound! The kitchen, laundry, and wifi were all convenient, and did I mention the attentive staff?
“I would stay here again.”
Taj Suites and Residences was a quaint/nice hotel. The concierge desk was very accomodating in every way. The bed was comfortable and kitchen was nice. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres in evening was excellent. I would stay here again. The location was excellent and centralized so you could walk to many places.
“Terrific time at the Taj”
We visited London to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our stay at the Taj makes me want to turn 50 again very soon. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative while the suite was large, clean and lavish. High tea at the Taj was one of the highlights of each day. We were just a short jog from Buckingham Palace and within easy walking distance of Big Ben, The London Eye, Westminster Abbey and shopping. Cheers!
“Best Hotel stay in London”
Excellent hotel location. Helpful staff and great suite. I will definitely return on my next trip.
“A luxurious stay”
Wonderful combination of hotel and flat with full kitchen and sitting area. A couple of small details (sticky sliding doors, grout in shower) needed addressing, which I only noted after check-out, but the manager has followed up and assured me that they will fix it. Cold bathroom, but main areas really comfortable and luxurious. Service impeccable.
“Another Divine Experience at the 51”
51 Buckingham Gate has it all: lovely rooms, great location, fabulous staff, gorgeous restaurants and one of London's premier spas on site. I have stayed at the 51 five times in past year and I would not stay anywhere else in London. The courtyard is a lovely oasis in the summer months and you can sit outside for a meal or tea/coffee. There's something about turning into the courtyard after a long day in the city...you are home and can begin to relax. The hotel is set up like small apartments and they are beautifully appointed. The washer/dryer in the kitchen is a added bonus and so easy to use. You can cook if inclined, dine at one of their restaurants or order up room service. There are so many large hotel chains, but they tend to be rather impersonal, whilst the 51 is intimate. The 51 has quite simply the best staff. They are incredibly helpful from housekeeping to the concierge staff to the butlers. Most of my visits are combined, work and pleasure. The staff have helped me numerous ways, from averting a disaster when I forgot my charger, to helping me to get necesseary documents printed in a hurry. They are uniquely unflappable, but also immensely kind and caring individuals that take pride in their work. If I could, I'd move into the 51 and live there permanently. I cannot think of a better place.
“Awesome!”
Best place we ever stayed! Nice suite with kitchen and 2 bedrooms. Location is wonderful. Staff was great and very helpful. I would stay again and recommend!!!
“The worst hotel that i've ever stay.”
They gave us the worst room to us with no hot water to get shower! Everything in the room are really extremely old. We complain about the room to the manager but they ask us to pay more money per night to change the other room! The all experience is really ridiculus! We never stay at 51 Bukingham Gate anymore! Also, we will told people do not stay at there!
“not a hotel”
didn't like this hotel. I was expecting a room, connected to the front desk. It smelled bad. The shower didn't really work unless you had someone holding the sprayer. I don't categorize this as 5 stars. There was no fitness center.
“My Favorite Hotel”
I adore 51 Buckingham Gate! The location is phenomenal in central London and within easy walking to St. James Park Tube Station or Victoria Station for trains. Everything is so convenient. Great shopping, walks, museums, galleries, and parks. Something for everyone. The hotel is lovely and quiet, but the reason I go back is for the staff. They are simply incredible. They anticipate the needs of their customers. If you want to be left alone, they do it, or if you need help they are right there with the information you need. Helpful, courteous and just plain kind. Have stayed there several times now and I'm never disappointed. Can't wait to return!
