Regarding your concerns, we regret that your stay did not meet your expectations. We are committed to maintaining high standards, and we take your comments and comfort seriously and note your reservation was amended to a different room type for the second and third night of your stay. The recent fluctuation in the kwacha exchange rate against the US dollar is the reason for the difference in pricing at our restaurant. We want to clarify that activities and tours are facilitated through third parties, and thus we are not able to give credit for them as discussed. We appreciate your insights. Hi Tamikagreat to hear from you.We are happy to hear that you enjoyed how easy it is to walk from Jollyboys Backpackers to to the town centre, including grocery stores, the Livingstone Museum and various restaurants. We do also have the free daily shuttle to Victoria Falls. We aim to uphold a very high level of cleanliness and would never be OK with any guest's room not being up to scratch - please in future, tell us right away and we would happily send in a cleaning team to do a further blitz of your room at any time. However, we would like to note that Jollyboys does not advertise that the rooms have TVs, nor have they ever - we do have TVs in our bar/restaurant area for guests to watch the news and big sporting events. Most backpackers prefer to chat with others about their travels and enjoy the myriad of activities that the Victoria Falls area has on offer.with regards.Lloyd

Please note that we are always happy to book our guests with whichever company they prefer for activities; however, over the decades, we have chosen to work with those that have the highest level of value, service, reliability, and safety records. Although backpackers are of course looking for the best price, these once-in-a-lifetime experiences are worth ensuring that you get the most bang for your buck! We know which will give you a full dinner vs. a few snacks and which have all the relevant insurances and back up plan in case of any hiccoughs. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate your feedback. I profusely apologize for not finding someone to check you in at the time of arrival. We have 24 hours reception, I have taken this matter under investigation and will make sure this does not happen again. Zambia has been affected with load shedding (long hours of power cuts) and this has lead to a situation of long use of generators. We are working on this situation by fixing our solar system. We are so pleased to see that you loved your stay with us! I will certainly pass along your compliments during our staff meeting as we pride ourselves on showcasing our amazing destination and the lovely people. Jollyboys Backpackers does have free WiFi available in the communal areas though find that we are able to keep the speeds higher if we don't have it in the rooms... rather better to enjoy the sunshine around the pool while online.
