We had a small suite which was well appointed although the bathroom was small. There was a balcony looking over the hillside. The room was comfortable but we did need the air-conditioning as the temperatures got quite hot.
The desk staff were lovely and very helpful- special thanks to Chiara- who welcomed us with cold drinks or coffee when we arrived or came back from exploring the Cinque Terre. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel made bikes available are of charge allowing us to ride along the waterfront and through the restored railway tunnel to Bonassola a few Km away; a gorgeous, flat, relaxing and glorious experience- take the ride, walk around Bonasole and sit at the cafe on the beach from and watch the water, not crowded at all..
This hotel was 5 min walk from the train station, 5-10 min walk from the beach front, and was the ideal location for us to explore the Cinque Terre by either ferry or train- we did it both ways and were not disappointed. Levanto is also a pleasant small town with public and private beach areas, plenty of local-fare restaurants, and worth making a base here.
