“Small resort”
Small resort with wonderful hospitality. Some ongoing remodeling but does not interfere with peaceful surroundings. Very relaxing setting and wonderful spa.
“good place to do not much”
A very quiet location with happy staff and great food. We spent six days there from the 12 - 18 September. Our accommodation was very good with a choice of garden and beach bure's. We were on the beach and a little way from the pool which was good as the resort has a family focus and thats where the kids tended to hang out. The resort staff were very happy and helpful lot. You need to be prepared that it is quiet so not much to distract you but lots of day trips to the islands to take up your time if needed. A good swiming beach if you time the tides right so you need the tide in during the day.
“Best choice for island type experience on mainland and base to join blue lagoon cruise”
Really enjoyed it. Felt like you were on a small island even though on main island of Fiji. Manager and Staff were very welcoming and helpful in all areas - reception, bar, porter, waitstaff, housekeepers and gardeners. Very quiet location with entertainment on site if required but not interfering with overall quietness of garden and beachfront bures - could hear the water lapping. View of sea lovely. Loved the beachfront restaurant where you could sit with your feet in the sand if you liked! Food fantastic with lots of options with freshly cooked BBQ items such as local fish Walu and curry served in a fresh coconut as standouts although we did not try the lobster. Local draught beer available on tap for very reasonable price ( $2 FJ during happy hour) Wine cheaper than Australian restaurants. Bure spacious and comfortable with screened verandah. Lovely frangipani fragranced toiletries and complimentary plunger coffee available in room. Pool large and clean. Gardens immaculate. Blue lagoon transfer was efficient and only 10 mins- we were first to arrive as others from coral coast took 3 hour bus trip to arrive at cruise terminal!

“First Landing- BEST experience ever!”
The staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly, helpful and genuine. The Manager Amanda was fantastic and her intersperonal skills are exceptional. Our overall experience was so pleasing that my Mother has booked a trip to Fiji in July and will be staying at First Landing, based on my recommendation. The only problem we had was that our airconditioner did not work properly, however, as soon as we mentioned it, there was a maintenance man sent over to check it out. (Next time I would mention it on our first day of arrival, not the last lol). I Will definitley be staying at the resort again in the future and will be recommending it to all my fanily and friends.

“first landing honeymoon”
Everyone was amazing at this hotel, very friendly and because it was our honeymoon and also my 30th birthday our beachfront bure had been decorated with balloons and flowers which was a special touch. We didnt do the food package and we were pleased with this because there was no way we'd have eaten that much. Evening meals were so yummy and portions were large.
“Great value, good servce”
We needed a place to stay for a few days, didn't need to be right next to the airport but wanted it to be near Lautoka. Looked into First Landing based on location, and then read other guest reviews. This resort was given high overall marks, so we booked it. We arrived at approximately 6 AM...the hotel had no obligation to give us a room prior to normal check in time, but they were able to accommodate us by 7:15. The room was very nice, well appointed, clean and very comfortable. At first, the hot water in to work for us so we didn't report it. restaurant food was very good, and the service very warm and friendly. "Fiji time" was about as should be expected. Didn't swim off the beach..it was shallow at high tide and mostly exposed flats at low tide. Overall, we were very pleased and found First Landing to meet our needs perfectly and an overall excellent value.
“Paradise”
Amazing friendly staff. clean, spacious and comfortable bures. small resort with everything you need (cultural shows, kayaks, snorkels, pool...) including peace and quiet. awesome restaurant, reasonably priced, extremely delicious food. well equipped shop and very helpful travel agent on site to book day trips etc. We loved our stay and would leap at the chance to go back. So affordable for such quality - look no further!
“This is how a hotel should be run”
Everyone looks for that hotel where you feel like a friend not a customer - this is it. Amanda and Darren don't try to blind you with unnecessary frills. They just get all of the basics absolutely right. Check in made me feel like an old friend and all the staff are a delight, genuinely glad to be there. Darren runs the kitchen superbly and there was not a single meal that wasn't something I'd pay 3 times the price in London and not expect anything as good. The lack of televisions in the rooms may disappoint some, but it meant that the bar was crowded with people having a great time and actually talking to each other. A hotel reflects the people running it and this one ticked all my boxes, small intimate and really friendly.
