“Would stay again”

First encounter was with valet parking which is on the opposite side of hotel. The valet did offer to call a bell to transfer bags although this was not needed as I only had one bag. I was early and my king bed room was'nt ready. I was offered a room with two queen beds and accepted since I was by myself this trip. The room was quite large with a great view and very comfortable, extremely neat and clean. The bathroom was as it should be; a reasonable size with sufficient toweling and toiletries. All of the staff I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful, from the valet parking, front desk, houskeeping, security and casino staff. I would for sure stay here again.

“NOT IMPRESSED! NEED TO RENOVATE!”

The shower knobs were loose and it was difficult to control the water temperature. The rooms were not sound proof. No vent in the bathroom. The hotel need to be renovated!

“Downtown Vegas, one of the best hotels”

I have stayed at Main Street approximately six times in the past few years. I am always satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and the casino. Rooms are adequate size, bathroom could be a little larger. Sink is outside the bathroom. The bed linens are not the "Fancy" ones you may be used to in upscale casinos. Bedspreads are white with a light down-like cover and plain sheet for warmth. Rooms do not have central air, but do have effective in wall units. TV is tube type but worked well with many channels. One problem is that some of the rooms do face the Interstate and can be noisy during the busy times of the day, so if that bothers you ask for a room across the hall which will face away from the traffic noise. Resturant, brewery, and buffet are excellent. The large buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, however if you want to order off the menu for breakfast you will have to go to the California or some other casino since you can not order breakfast off the menu at Main Street Casino. This casino has no showroom or lounge show, however a great brewery and sports bar with resturant.

Area recommendations
I recommend the Downtown area of Las Vegas because all the things that I need and want are located within walking distance. Downtown area is also a bit more laid back then the strip, for a senior citizen things like this are important. After all how many slot machines and black jack tables do you need?

“AFFORDABLE AND COMFORTABLE”

THE HOTEL IS LOCATED NEAR FREMONT STREET AND HAS A CROSS WAY TO CALIFORNIA HOTEL BOTH OF THESE CARTER TO FOLKS FROM HAWAII. THE FOOD AT TRIPLE 777 AND BUFFETT IS OUTSTANDING AND THE PRICE IS AFFORDABLE. ROOMS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE BUT THE VIEWS FROM THE ROOM ARE NOT VERY GOOD. ROOM SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR STAY.

“Not Impressed”

Not enough lighting in the room. The train runs next to the hotel at all hours (very loud). The quality of the food in the restaurant has gone down since my last visit 5 years ago. No elevator or escalator in the parking structure (makes it difficult to carry luggage up and down the stairs).

Area recommendations
Any hotel on the Las Vegas Strip or close to it. Rooms are nicer and more modern. Everything is in walking distance. More choices of restaurants.

“Perfect for staying downtown!”

Thought we would try Main Street Station as we have always enjoyed their wonderful buffet (which is a GREAT value in beautiful surroundings!) We were not disappointed. It's only two blocks off of Fremont so you can easily visit the Fremont Experience and the fun activities nearby without walking too far. The staff at Main Street Station were all helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations
We like to stay downtown because the cost of hotels is more reasonable. Also, after spending the day on the Strip walking for miles, it is nice to come back to our hotel, park the car, and easily walk to Fremont and visit the old-school casinos where Las Vegas began. On Fremont down about three blocks is a Walgreens which is handy if you need anything or forgot something. There are also little food shops on Fremont where you can grab a quick sandwich or slice of pizza. There are street acts which are fun to watch and of course the Fremont Experience Light Show at the top of each hour until midnight is always entertaining. At the end of the day, we like to wind down and being downtown is a perfect place for that.
Dining
One of the best buffets in Las Vegas is at the Main Street Casino/hotel located downtown. The prices are half of those on the Strip and the food is delicious. The restaurant itself is light and bright and beautiful. Parking is right across the street from the casino/hotel.
