While I loved my room (which was high up and overlooked the forest), it involved climbing some very steep stairs. Travelers with mobility issues should be careful about which rooms they reserve. "It is a very lovely, quiet deluxe hotel set back from the street. The service was impeccable, with free shuttles at call to and from the hotel. Remember to book in advance if you are arriving from the train station as this will save you the taxi fare! The rooms are large and the public bath is a treat. "The staff and cleaniness of the hotel was good, but it was way way overpriced for the type of room (unit style bathroom etc). Also the food was incredibly expensive - JPY8,000 for a dinner bento box (looked like something that would cost around jpy 1,500 at any other place). I have been living in Japan over 25 years and I would not recommend the hotel because it was so overpriced. I drive a ferrari but otherwise i focus on value for money and this was certainly not value for money. Staff...
