The hotel is closed for COVID, and didn't update its availability on Expedia. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION! They are extremely unresponsive and unhelpful.

The pool and view was amazing but the resort is too far from the restaurant, and we have to walk up the hill so tired and sweating. The reception and staff were okay!

Best thing about this property is the poolside view of the sea. The pool is a bit murky and the breakfast was decent for being free. The bungalow with fan gets a bit hot but it’s a nice enough set up for what it costs. Service was mostly fine too, except they did our laundry and lost our nice Osprey bag that we gave the laundry in. We had to hike all the way back up to ask for it and we’re told it’d be found and given to us before our ferry the next day. We waited for 30 minutes but no one met us and we never heard a word back.

Terrible hotel, to get by this hotel is very difficult and staff is not friendly at all, I will never ever will stay in that hotel anymore, not recommended especially for this price (£50 per night)

We ignored the bad reviews due to the low price and it was a huge mistake! This place isn't terribly far from the beach, BUT it is up a very steep hill, far removed from other hotels. Also, to get up that hill you need to walk through piles and piles of garbage. The photos online of the room look pretty nice and nothing like the actual room. Within 5 minutes of arriving we said screw it and checked out even though we couldn't get our money back. There are many other nicer hotels nearby that are fairly inexpensive.

This place was sure a wall from all the night life and market. You need to walk up a hill and through some alleys to get here , although this place has good staff and a magnificent pool view which is the catchy part you can be place in a hut with no view make sure they accommodate something to your taste. I reccomend this place if you are the explorer type and want to be away from the crowds. I found it to be a bit on the pricy side, i stayed at other two places before this one much cheaper with good views and much closer to the market. Perfect place if you want to be away and just spend some alone time with some1 or yourself.

Amazing view
We arrived and the toilet did not flush, the water was not filling the tank, it took 4 people to finally get it fixed. I would have been happier if the pool closes later than 8 pm. I was happy that the toilet and shower were clean. We did our check out at 11 am and they kindly allowed us to use the pool facilities until 2 pm which was about perfect to take our ferry back to Phuket (maybe because we went in low season). They have someone that helped us with our luggage from the ferry to the hotel and then back from the hotel to the ferry, that was a plus I wasn't expecting.

Would’ve paid more for a nicer place
The resort was a little out of the way. The bungalow was not in the best condition. The bathroom pretty much flooded whenever someone showered. Breakfast was not good, don’t pay extra to include breakfast. Nice pool, wish there were more umbrellas though. No bugs in the room. Overall, we got what we paid for.

Great location, but get ready to hike uphill
Awesome pool and great location. Make sure you bring your walking shoes because this place is a bit of a hike! We loved it because of the amazing sunset views and because it wasn’t directly in the middle of Phi Phi. You could still walk easily to the beach/ main areas within 10 minutes, but you were a little more removed from all of the party and noise that is Koh Phi Phi. If you’re in the area for a couple days I would highly recommend doing a day trip to bamboo island! One of the highlights of our trip for sure :)

This place is cool if you are into partying until 2am and staying out. If you are trying to rest, expect to rest during the day, as the house music from the 90’s carries into your brain until 2am, bring an iPad to watch movies on Netflix. This helped us stay occupied at night during the party times music which almost made us crazy. Don’t book the fan room, splurge on AC, it’s just too hot to be in the room at all without ac. Get ear plugs , get bug spray. Bed is very uncomfortable but luckily the Thai massage is inexpensive and wonderful on phi phi!! The staff and the view were the best part, as everyone who worked there was kind and very nice.

Beautiful view, disappointing hotel
The pool is extremely murky. Sadly I would not use it because it looked so gross. The hotel overall was a bit dated. The breakfast was extremely subpar and not worth the money. The hotel staff was nice and accommodating. The loud music from the beach parties is unbearable. Do not recommend staying here if you are looking to get to bed before 2AM when the music finally shuts down. Overall, this was the worst hotel that I stayed at during my trip.

Basically the hotel has a beautiful pool but that's it ! If you wanna have a good night sleep it's almost impossible, you will have music in your hears until 4am. The staff doesn't really care about you. I would not stay here again

Fantastic view
Great bungalows overlooking Phi Phi with a lovely infinity pool & friendly staff. Only downside was the climb up the hill on the way back at night after a few drinks

Generally good..had difficulty trying to explain to female manager..could not speak English..needs improvement there. The breakfast menu very skimpy..little amounts. There was no WiFi.at least in my room Staff generally courtious. Down the hill pathway litter everywhere.needs tidening up.

Stunning views from Phuphaya
If you want beautiful views of Phi Phi - especially at sunset - and a private sun deck overlooking the ocean, then don't hesitate to stay here. Someone will collect you from the pier & bring your bags - worth anything because there is bit of a climb involved & I can't imagine doing it while lugging a backpack on my back! Staff are nice & friendly, and the bungalows themselves are comfortable & have a spacious bathroom. Clean towels everyday. You can hear the music from the bars along the beach until it stops at 2am, but earplugs do help!

The bamboo huts are a good 15minute walk from the pier however hotel staff will meet you off the ferry to help with your bags. Rooms clean enough and very traditional Thai decor. The location is up on a hillside so paths are steep and 10minute walk from bars and restaurants however this wasn't too much of an issue. No wifi in rooms and rubbish at the bar. Laundry service was quick and similar price to other local places however one of my tops went missing! Not a bad stay.

It's very loud during the night at the hotel, as the party beach of Phi Phi located at the same side of the island. You will not manage to sleep with no earplugs (they were provided by the hotel). Another thing is that the hotel charges 5% extra for the credit card / debit card payment. Please bring cash!

We were pleasantly surprised and comfortable in our stay here. I would recommend getting the air conditioning as it was quite hot in February and without being able to cool off here, I would have been miserable. There is no refrigerator but it's easy to pick up ice cold waters while you're out and about. My favorite time was waking up with a sea-view and having the muesli breakfast, then kayaking out in either direction for the day. The phuphaya lookouts are close by and a nice walk for sunset or sunrise (before and after the heat sets in). This location was great to step right out and walk the island. It was far enough away from the shops to feel secluded yet close enough to walk everyday to get dinner, massages, explore, etc.

We stayed here for two nights. First I will list the positives. Air conditioning worked, the manager was friendly and internet was fine. Now come the negatives. If you want to stay awake until 2 am every night, this is your place as the music is intensely loud and finally stops at 2 am. The location is horrible as it is up a hill which is a tiring long walk. The bed mattresses are as hard as concrete. There is no place to put your clothes and belongings.The bungalow is very tiny with little room for two people. No refrigerator also. I found a cockroach in my luggage after leaving this place. Breakfast is just ok with a choice of eggs, white bread toasted and tea and no fruits. The price/ value here is not good as it is way overpriced for the money I spent. I SUGGEST YOU NOT STAY HERE!

The positives are that the view's are stunning, the deluxe rooms looked nice and it was a good distance from the dirty and seedy tonsai 'village' area. It is set on the side of a hill and as such there is a lot of steep walks. Lovely little beach area for swimming ( rocks not sand). Food was nice when it arrived after a very long wait. Breakfast was a bit weak but better than nothing. The resort itself seems a bit unloved and neglected. Staff are not really interested in their customers, not rude just without enthusiasm or warmth. Our standard bungalow was cramped, rock hard bed (not firm - solid!). Literally no where to hang your clothes. Bedding was clean, less sure about the room. Bathroom is a wetroom which sometimes had problems with drainage. The noise from the clubs on the beach is incredible and ear plugs don't work. We were going to take the approach of if you can't beat them, join them. However it was more Magaluf than chilled thai beach bar vibe with a heavy emphasis on cheap terrible booze. It was the only place in Thailand I felt uneasy walking back to the resort at night. We booked four nights but left after two. For us Phi Phi was heaven by day hell by night. Try booking one night and see how you feel.

The rooms are small and bare. Concrete and thin timber walls, exept a bed against thin timber wall with only walkway to the toilet at the rear of the room. there's no furniture, not even hooks for clothes. No place to get chilled or hot drinking water. Cold shower that flooded the bath.

Pretty looking from the outside and nice enough bathrooms but room itself was very basic with no furniture other than the bed. It would have been nice to have somewhere off the floor to put our bags particularly due to the bugs. Breakfast was limited and basic. It was very noisy at night despite being a 10min walk from the town. This is partly due to it being directly across the bay from the beach bars. Pretty views across the bay though and friendly staff.

Clean, modern room. No bugs. Good shower, with soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Safe in the room for valuables. Housekeeping everyday. We had breakfast included which was just ok but good enough. Great view. Be sure to go out onto your balcony and watch the sunset. This resort is a little further out compared to others, but if you don't mind walking and steep trail, then I believe the resort is great value for the price.

A surprisingly clean and comfortable resort, based on what I expected from previous reviews. I couldn't get consistent wifi in the first room I was in, but the staff were very accommodating in facilitating a room change. It was a bit far 5-10 min walk from the main bar area, and a 2 minute uphill climb. This isn't necessarily bad, as it was far enough from the beach to be quiet at night (as the parties go on till 3-4 am every night). The staff were the best feature of this resort. It would be better if there was a common area where guests could gather.

So we went there with a few mates for 2014/5 holidays. The place is a bit of a walk from the pier so make sure you meet up with your hotel's contact at the pier. they will take you to the hotel and even carry all your bags. The hotel is very close to the party beach (10min walk) although it is up a bit of a hill so the climb after drinking was a mission. The rooms were very tidy. Minimalist but very good value for what you pay for. The fan rooms were fine. It wasnt that hot in side the rooms. The resort has its access to the beach which was very nice

The hotel itself is nice enough and the view shown in the photo's is lovely. Unfortunately it was hard to enjoy the view because of mosquitos. The room was ok, we chose a fan room due to budget and we should have gone for a room with air con but it was much more expensive. This made the stay fairly uncomfortable. The walls if the room were dirty but generally the room was clean. I would not book this hotel again because of the location. It is a 15 minute walk up a steep hill to get to the hotel which is very hard work with luggage. I booked to avoid the noise of music at night but as it is accross from the water it could still be heard. Not so much to affect sleep but may as well stay closer to the town.

Stayed at Phupaya Resort in April 2014, if you haven't been to Phi Phi Don this is what you need to know: the island is very small and there are no roads as such, what happens is that when you come of your ferry with hundreads of other people, staff from different resorts will be on the pier looking for people who already made bookings and people who want to make a booking with them, now when we arrived we couldn't find Phuphaya resort staff member and we ventured into the island looking for the resort ourself (with big backpacks),it's a little confusing as there are little streets everywhere and it is easy to get lost, I would recommend looking harder for the staff member at the pier who will help you with your luggage, as you will end up walking up a hill with your luggage and although the distance is not massive, it's quite a steep hill to climb with weight on your back and high temperature! Anyway, the rooms were quite basic but sufficient, bathroom with a shower, fan in the room, be aware that there might be insects getting in your room as the hut is made out of wood etc. Now if you are looking for a luxurious resort on Phi Phi's you will have to pay the price for it. This resort is more for people on the budget who don't mind staying in basic amenities. Last thing is that the water carries the noise from the beach (parties everynight until aprox 3-4am, and although for me personally it wasn't as loud as some people made it out to be on these reviews, it does disturb you
