The property is located on top of a hill. But there is not elevator or automated means of transportation of patrons from the hill bottom main entrance to the hill top where hotel rooms are.

It is a pretty and quiet property. It locates at the hillside at edge of the city. This is my second stay here. They no longer offer the shuttle services to and from the MTR stations. You have to walk up to the hill and it is quite an issue in the hot summer for returning to the Lodge at day time. You'll better take the taxi after shopping with lot of carryings. (But some taxi drivers from Mei Foo station do not like the short distance passengers like us.) Hot water supply is not stable due to the water pressure. This is another issue that they should fix. Also, they do not offer coffee but only tea bag in the room. Overall, I will stay here again.

Inconvenient or even impractical laundry service is my major complaint about Heritage Lodge. The self-serve laundry machine only takes Alipay and another Mainland China e-wallet payment. The commonly used HK Octopus card or Visa/Master credit card are not one of the payment options. Since the lodge is a historical property, water pressure can be low at times for the shower and the shower curtain should be cleaned by bleach to remove the mildew musty smell. Heritage Lodge is located at the hillside that is about 7 minutes’ walks from Mei Foo MTR station exit A or B and the Mei Foo bus terminal. Follow the road signage to walk to the lodge. There is also a bus stop right across the street from the lodge entrance if those selected buses go where you need to go. Heritage Lodge is a good place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Beware of the stairs you need to climb to access the lodge though. There are two elevators that access the lower and middle zone, but there are the final 80 steps of staris which guests must climb to reach the lodge. There are plenty of restaurants in Mei Foo Estate. From Mei Foo MTR exit C, you can also visit the beautiful Lingnan Garden.

Nice, could be perfect with some thoughts
This was value for money. USD41 dollars for 22 square feet. Clean and quiet. The heritage has a lot of space. But the room unfortunately smelt new paint which gave me headaches. The place could have better vibe if there is comfortable spot like a common lobby with sofa that serves free lemon water or tea... I mean mgt could be more thoughtful to give the place a soul and help users enjoy its charm. Breakfast place would be good but the existing coffee shop is expensive and open only at 9 am.... the place has a lot of potential. Staff was polite and efficient. Love the green and thanks the gardeners!

The signage is not really clear, and it is not very wheelchair friendly. The ventilation is noisy, and they set the minimum temp to 24 degree C, which is kinda hot... There is also a mouldy smell...

this is a heritage building. although it has been revitalised, the upkeep is very bad, e.g. interior walls are full of black and grey scratches next to the bed etc.

The Heritage Lodge is truly an oasis away from the usual bustle of Hong Kong. The only downside is its accessibility. There are lifts from the ground floor to the second floor and then a series of steps to the accommodation level. For wheelchair users there is a small lift from the second floor to the Heritage Lodge blocks but a steep ramp needs to be negotiated. That's the only negative. I would over all, really recommend this charming place.

good points: quite clean, staff is helpful in answering questions and helping you catch taxi. Bad points: The condition of hotel doesn't strike me the impression as a new hotel - it feels more like an enlarged college dormitory to me. the decoration and overall design is bland and I can expect it would age quickly without proper maintenance.

We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights at the hotel, and not once was there constant warm water for the shower, which is frustrating as a good day starts and ends with a refreshing shower. After complaining, the staff promised that it will be looked into, but no one did. Moreover, the air conditioning also wasn't constant and unadjustable, so sometimes the room is too hot or too cold, in fact one of the room's air conditioning didn't work at all! The site of the hotel is difficult to access if you don't arrive by car, because otherwise it's a long climb up carrying luggage. In one of our rooms, the tissue holder was broken, meaning that the tissue roll was constantly falling into the bin.

Too much walking to get to the lodge from the nearest Subway station. The lodge has a lift but only goes up to mid level. The lift to the actual lodge is locked only for handicapped making people with luggage and people with stroller extremely difficult. Also they start clean up at 8:30 am which is too early.

Excellent service and buildings sit in beautiful quiet garden in a noisy and busy city! Only if you have heavy luggages may find difficult to carry on to hill. Taxi can take you right to beside the building but I prefer walk up the hill ! Love it! Cheers!

An up hill hotel with quiet and peaceful environment. Lots of trees surrounded and clear view to the city. A place which good for visitors who enjoy nature green colors and don't mind about the indirect public transportation, of course you can always take a cap.

This is our second stay at the lodge. Love the historic atmosphere and it's rare to find such a peaceful place in HK. Downside is we've discovered that the sheets and bedding were not changed once on the 4 night stay. They simply remake the bed using the same sheets though we have not agreed to the save the water campaign. We really have no problem with this but for some this might be an issue.

Well located but you really need be fit as minimum is 72 steps between the 3 levels. Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Drawbacks? Stupid door stop in for my of wardrobe doors catches you out frequently. Pacific Coffee shop and restaurant very good.
