Dear elleeela Thank you for staying with us at Dara Samui Beach Resort for 3 nights in May 2019. I have personally looked into your feedback which you shared on Expedia.com. Our report indicated the following: i. TRUE - you did come to the reception informing us there is a cockroach in your room at 21.15h. ii. TRUE - our housekeeping staff came to your room within 10 minutes to try to get rid of the cockroach but he did not find any and suggested that he spray your room with insect repellent. iii. NOT TRUE - "he was shocked to see something underneath the TV cabinet" - he did check underneath the TV cupboard, underneath the bed and various places in your room but did not find any cockroach. iv. NOT TRUE - our Housekeeper sprayed your room - he never sprayed the room. v. TRUE - you did notify us that it is not safe for you to be in the room if he sprayed the room and that you wanted to be relocated. iv. TRUE - Our Receptionist did come to your room to explain to you about our room situation on that night. v. You came to the reception after this and our Senior Guest Services Agent apologised to you first and then informed you we have a room that does not have a television but everything else works. She notified you that we can move you to an available room the next day. You agreed to move and we assisted your relocation. vi. The following day you went for a full day trip and upon your return, we showed you to our Deluxe Suite which you stayed until your check-out. vii. TRUE - we are in a tropical climate and cockroaches are common. Once again, thank you for staying on with us despite you finding "the entire attitude of the staff and carelessness for the well-being of customer is unbearable". I truly apologise for the inconvenience you had on your 1st night with us.
