We stayed at this hotel for the final 2 nights of our trip before returning to Australia and we absolutely loved it.
The facilities were fantastic, very clean and well looked after. The service was excellent and the room was huge, clean and very well equipped.
I have to mention the food, oh my goodness the food was incredible! There was so much to chose from and you could go back as many times as you liked. Yes it is buffet style but as with a lot of places in Japan there were also some chef stations where they were cooking food fresh. I tried and enjoyed everything even with my western palate.
There was a shuttle bus to the station which was handy as the hotel is quite a distance from the station. This is really the only downside to this hotel as it is in the harbour area and there is no real way to get there other than the hotel shuttle bus or by taxi, unless you are driving of course.
Again the location lets the hotel down a bit for the surrounding area which is generally light industrial warehousing, etc. although the views from the hotel itself across the harbour are excellent.
If you are prepared to go for a walk it takes about 30mins (at a slow pace) to get to the Meriken Park area where you will find the Kobe Port Tower, Harborland, the Kobe earthquake memorial, the Kobe Maritime Museum and Kawasaki Good Times World (basically the history of Kawasaki but surprisingly interesting).
All in all I give this hotel a big thumbs up and would definitely stay here again.
