“somehow dissapointing”
Room and reception were as expected, the walkway to the resort is dangerous because of potholes and no light at nighttime. The restaurants were poor quality and the service as well. The staff organized a barbecue without having an idea about barbecueing. For that reason you could hardly find any guests in the two restaurants.
“Beautiful and Peaceful”
We chose this place for a honeymoon hideout based on the various websites that promoted it and the great deal they were offering as a promotion. We were delighted to find that the hotel was for the most part, as great as the photos on the websites! The property facilities were wonderful and the food was excellent! We spent many hours strolling up and down the beautiful stretch of beach, sampling the variety of restaurants. If I was to register any complaint it would be that our room was a little smaller then what it seemed like it should be from the photographs, and the “double bed” was really just two single beds pushed together. We felt the crack between the two beds for ten days! The other thing that I might caution about is that for a few days out of every month, the tide comes right up to the wall of the resort, making it difficult, if not dangerous to walk along the beach. We happened to be there during this time. Oh, one last thing…. Be careful of the “motorcycle mafia” on the Island. The widespread practice is to rent the bikes for dirt cheap, (about 4 bucks a day), but then, really hit you hard if you bring it back with some scratches. We ended up having to pay a local establishment, "JJ's", about $270 USD for some scratches to the plastic parts of their cheap bike.
“Great Resort in a paradise setting”
At the end of one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand you will find this resort. Located on the quite side of Koh Phangan, this location is perfect for relaxing. The resort's on-sight food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. If you want excitement, you can find Haad Rin 30 minutes away via taxi. I can't wait to return!
