Well kept and managed older and slightly “dated” motel, beautiful setting which would be great in summer and fall, maybe spring. Inexpensive. No breakfast although advertises as such on the website. But local breakfast spots available. A secret gem.

Trains that run every hour and blast their horns. I totally get not the fault of the hotel. However, we got there very very late at night and just crashed. When we woke up in the morning, I thought ok, not a bad room. A bit out dated but who cares! Well then my son couldn’t find his cell phone so I looked under the beds…DONT LOOK UNDER THE BEDA!!! Omg they have not been cleaned in years!!!! Then I looked to the side of the bed, between the side of the bed and wall, I had to ouch the bed out a bit, but not much. A men’s pair of dirty underwear and a ladies boot and a dirty sock which was not ours….. However I would say this would be a nice hotel being on the water.

The folks are nice but this is a refurbished motel from the 70s. The door to my room was old and hard to lock. It was noisy because it’s so close to the road.

There is a train line very nearby and during my stay there was a cement truck performing work outside my room. That work commenced earlier than I planned to wake on the day of my checkout. Room was great.. just a bit noisy for my taste.

Expedia listing indicates the property had a restaurant and breakfast. That is false advertising, there is no restaurant within that property. Very noisy place with regular loud train whistles and track noises.

The rooms are dirty, there are insects in the room, the wifi did not work two out of the three days we were there, no staff or management to be found most of the day (especially when guests are checking out).

The beds were comfortable. Motel office very unkempt. Bathroom light was out, pieces of floor heater in bathroom missing, most light-switch plates were missing. Very noisy as the motel is almost right beside a train track.

The property is a motel. There are a couple of suites on the second floor and there is no elevator. You must be capable of climbing a flight of stairs. We did have help with getting our bags to our room. Book early to get a ground floor room.

I love the view I love the cleanliness of the room, even though it was a little bit older. I had a it of difficulty due to the fact they wanted to put me upstairs, and I am disabled. I received a call before check in saying they were gonna give my room away if I didn’t get there with my credit card. Then they tried to double charge me certain things didn’t work when I got there. I had to ask multiple times. I was tired when I got there and lay down just about the time they were going to do yardwork at 8 o’clock. This was not a 69 $99 deal. So one would think it would be a little bit more. This definitely was an old motel.

It is ok for a one night stay. There is a restaurant walking distance and a Tim Hortons. The bathroom is very dated, air conditioner does not work and you hear the trains several times a night. That being said the beds and WIFI are good. Linens are all clean.

****BUYER BEWARE**** On the cold evening of March 24, 2023, I was charged $133.97 PLUS ann additional $28.25 for my dog to stay in a room that had NO HEAT. In addition, a plummer was banging on the pipes until well after 10:00 PM in an attempt to get the hot water circulating through the radiator. The owner has offered me a full refund and then a partial refund. NO REFUND HAS ARRIVED. I recommend that you don't stay here.

The people are always friendly but the cleanliness of the room could have been more up to par. You couldn't turn off the heat which it was way too hot, the position of the bed was too exposes when opening the room door. The walls were still cracked and the deposit was outrageous but still we always come back because we do like it for the convenience and an overall stay
