"We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! The owner was quick to respond to questions and accommodated early and late check in/out. The property is a very manageable 4 min walk from the heart of downtown. We stayed 5 days and walked Gap of Dunloe then boated across, Ring of Kerry with boat trip to Skelligs, day trip to Blarney castle and Cobh , Dingle and Slea Head and golfing at Beaufort golf course. Very well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with ensuites have showers with bath shower combo in main bath. Great for two couples or family. You do need a car. Host was great and offered suggestions that helped make our stay special."

"This house was absolutely perfect for our recent stay in Kerry. It was modern and clean with stunning views over pastures down to Dingle Bay. Plenty of space for our whole family with a bathroom in each bedroom. Well appointed kitchen and lovely, sunny dinning area full of windows. Heather was great at providing us with a crib for a 2.5 year old and for suggested activites all over the ring of Kerry. "There were 6 adults from Canada and we had a wonderful stay at Roisin and Larry's home. It is a very impressive home and they had a well stocked pantry for us to enjoy. There were lots of things over and above what was required but they were really appreciated by us. The check in and out process was great. "The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath … We walked on local footpath...
