Top Keswick Hotel Reviews

The Grange Country House
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel, really nice setting and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Recommended."

The Edwardene
10/10 Excellent
"I have stayed in many B&B’s in Keswick and having just spent two nights at The Edwardene for the first time, this is now my favourite. We stayed in a twin room called ‘The Osprey’ and needed a very late check in, which was no hassle to the owners who made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, bright, well furnished and had a lovely view of the mountains. The toiletries provided are locally made and were top quality. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were also provided with delicious Border Biscuits. I had Eggs Royale for breakfast and it was the best one I have ever had. I can also highly recommend the full English. The whole property from the outside to inside is exceptionally kept. It is just a 5 minute walk into the centre so is also a great place to stay location wise. Was able to easily park on a near by street. The whole experience was excellent value for money. Do not hesitate to book this charming bed and breakfast which is run by exceptional hosts. We will most definitely be back!"

Dale Head Hall Lakeside Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"An amazing stay at the Dale Head Hotel! Beautiful location and well-manicured grounds to walk around. There is access to the lake from the property, but not easily - the path is a little over-grown. The Manager, Dale, was lovely and could not have been more helpful. We were there to hike Helvellyn, and he advised us that Swirls Car park (beginning of the hike) is easily accessed from the hotel by a woodland footpath, rather than the main road, or paying for the car park. Drinks on the terrace over-looking Thirlmere lake were lovely in the evening, as were the home-cooked bar meals provided. The menu is small, but is ideal for when you return in the evening hungry and wanting something substantial. I had the Chicken & Bacon pie and my husband had the burger - both were cooked beautifully and very tasty. They also served a home-made beef stew with cheese scones, which looked (and tasted, according to other guests) amazing. A short, 5 minute walk from the hotel is The King's Head Pub on the main road, who also serve delicious food. We stayed in a 4-poster deluxe double with a lake view. The room was full of character (slanting floor - interesting!) And very comfortable - especially the bed! First time I haven't woken feeling like Ive slept on a board! Breakfast was also superb! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly each day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

The King's Head Inn
6/10 Okay
"Very clean, with very courteous staff. It's an old roadside inn, so there's no air conditioning and lots of traffic noise, which I struggled with. My single room had everything I needed, except a wardrobe. A couple of hooks on the doors would have helped enormously, as I had nowhere to hang my dresses during my stay."

Powter Howe
8/10 Good
"Excellent host, great breakfast & a lovely place to stay."

Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Clean room, helpful staff and a nice breakfast selection. Slightly understaffed at times, but Liam saved the day. A nice guest lounge but not large enough for the guests wishing to enjoy an after dinner drink, chat or the garden view. And the bar is poorly positioned next to the kitchen and the far end of the dining/breakfast room."

Royal Oak at Keswick

Keswick Country House Hotel

"Great location for hiking. The hotel was clean l, great breakfast."

Keswick Park Hotel

"Bed was uncomfortable. Water pressure for the shower was weak. The room itself was great, and the free breakfast in the morning was delicious."
