There was no lodge at the end of the directions i got form the app and i need to call the lodge 3 times before i got answer and just to hear they are close and i was force to book in someplace else.

Home away from home
The team at Airport Lodge are always so welcoming and kind. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the property itself is peaceful and tranquil. I look forward to staying again soon!

Beautiful property, very comfortable stay
Very friendly service, easy check-in. The rooms are very clean and quite spacious. The property is very quiet and privacy is a real plus. The proximity to OR Tambo International Airport is definitely a draw card.

Will never us them again, this place is absolutely disgusting. It seems the bathrooms were last cleaned when building was constructed.! The food is prepared very bad, along with the absolute horrible service.!!!!

Student transit stay
The place is adequate for a night stay near the airport and the breakfast was good. The free shuttle included is good but make sure you are able to communicate with the hotel once you have arrived so that they come and pick you up as they do not wait for you at the airport.

The lounge's amenities were extremely basic, but the staff were nice. We arrived late at night and left early the next morning with the free shuttle, so it was pretty much just a place to crash before getting on the plane. It was okay for that purpose but I won't recommend it for a longer stay.

Rooms were excellent and staff were excellent too. They also provide a shuttle service to the airport. This is brilliant. However, one wishes they had plates and kitchen towels in the rooms instead of just a kitchen with cups and no towels and no cutlery

The service was excellent. Staff had a human heart and were patient and surprisingly provided a shuttle service to the airport in odd hours of the early hours of night at 5am and I realised that one guest was ready at 4am and they were patient with him nonetheless

Roach and Bug Infested Dump
Place is an old run down roach motel. Bugs everywhere. There were more roaches and bugs on the room and bathroom floor, than there were people on the entire property. Place was just old and dirty. No AC only ceiling fan. Property is in disrepair and in need of desperate renovation and new management. Manager was unfriendly and upset because we woke him up and he had to check us in at 9:30p. Found out the reception office had been closed since 4p. Avoid this property! Only good thing is that it is relatively close to airport and cheap. But you get what you pay for. This place is like $30 USD and worth about $5 USD a night.

This hostel has real problems with its logistics. The airport shuttle service is really bad. They do not make the necessary arrangements to pick you up at the airport. You will be by your self. And that could be a huge problem if you aren't from Johannesburg. I had to ask for favors from strangers so I could notify the hotel that I had already arrived at the airport. That is unacceptable. (They told me the staff information of the airport can call then to notify my arrived but that's a lie. That isn't allow for the staff. So, you can imagine the problem that the hotel generated me).

Worst hotel, terrible manager. Avoid at all costs!
This hotel has the worst service, arrived after 2pm to find I still don't have a room because they were all still dirty and nobody had cleaned. Was then given a room right by the gate after having to argue with the manager with dirty stained sofas and very dim lighting...and this was supposed to be their "best" room. Hotel manager was an aubsolute nightmare, not symphathetic at all and till this day I am still waiting for a refund!!

Proximity and shuttle service to the airport is what made me pick this guesthouse. It's also affordable. On the down side of that, it attracts all sorts of guests, some unpleasant. The wifi only works when one is close to the reception area. It would be nice if the connection covered the entire property.

Easy place to stay.
Airport Lodge was nice. Sort of like an apartment complex. Food was decent - not great, but good. Staff seemed to be pleasant and helpful. However, their shuttle did not meet one of our team members at the airport as requested and he had to take a taxi to the location.

Conveniently located to the airport
The hotel overall was clean and the grounds were well manicured. The rooms had mismatched furniture that we were a little leery to sit on. Beds only had a bottom sheet and we questioned whether they were clean or not. The bathtub had not been cleaned at all. There were no towels. The rest of the apartment seemed clean and it was nice to have a big enough place for all of our family (4 kids) without having to pay for 2 rooms. The staff was nice and helpful and did refund our late night trip in and gave us a discount on breakfast bc of the no towel situation.

1No telephone on the e mail 2no information about transport to the hotel 3The key to the room not easy open 4The room very dusty.Sneezed all night 5Duvet and bottom sheet dirty smelling human body .ended up sleeping on top of the covering my sel with my overcoat .Couldnt stand the smell. The driver who came to ick me at 10pm was polite apologised on behalf of the hotel. In the morning I called him to the room to show him the dust and the dirty sheets. The only thing I enjoyed was the shower .
