“Great location”
This hotel is within short walking distance to Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, museums, grand bazaar, many restaurants and great transport links.Roof top restaurant has wonderful views over the Bosphorus(especially at night) and the food is good and priced reasonably. The rooms are basic but clean. The buffet breakfast was more suitable to the European style however we never went hungry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly be happy to go back.
“Istanbul is such a nice city, I will always love it”
The hotel was not so bad, it misses some activities, every thing was chargeable, has no swimming pool, you have to walk a lot and to reach the public trasport, the location is not bad because of the historical places arround the hotel.
“Great Location”
Hotel was convientely located. Staff was great! The room should have been swept and mopped each day. My socks were black after walking on the floors, I guess that's why they provide slippers,
“Great location, nice staff and very clean”
Great location in the heart of the historic district. Within easy walking distance of major historical sites and restaurants. Ask for a waterfront view up high. It might be an upgrade but it is worth it. The hotel itself has been renovated but if you are looking for predictable Marriott style, this is not it. Also, it is in the middle of a busy neighborhood so it is not always quiet outside. The room we had was extremely clean, the staff nice and helpful and we would go back. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop restaurant at the end of the afternoon where we could sit and watch the river traffic and discuss our day. I will recommend it to my friends who want to experience Istanbul at a reasonable cost.
“Lovely!”
Location=excellent; located on a fun, lively street with wonderful hotels. Do not go on "She" tours for the Bosphorus; instead get river tour directly from boats on the river.
“Not a flashy room, but great service and neighborhood”
Its a great location with a 3-4 minute walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. It has great views of the Bosphorous from the hotel and great views of the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque from the roof. The staff was very accommodating and very courteous. If you want a reasonably priced hotel in the old district, you should definitely give this place a look.
“a nice hotel on a restaurant lined quiet street”
the room was small but pleasant enough...the location is a couple of minutes form the Blue Mosque on a quiet cafe/restaurant lined cobblestone street...hotel staff is friendly...a good experience
“for the price this is a good hotel”
the service was good, the breakfast was great, the rooms are very clean but very small. their spa and Trukish bath were awsome and the staff were very helpful and proffesional. The only downfall to me was that I had to leave 2 days early for a family immergency and they refused to refund me the money for the 2 days.
“Great location”
The hotel is in a great location to visit the "Blue Mosque", the Cistern, and the Hagia Sophia as it is situated in the Sultanahmet area. Our room was small (on the 4th floor), but opened onto a terrace for a nice view. I understand that the rooms on the other floors are bigger, but no terrace. The bathroom was small, but modern. The hotel staff spoke English and recommended a great restaurant just downt he street named Albura Kathisma, which was wonderful. The hotel had a car service to take us to the airport when we left; however, the driver did not speak English and was taking us to the wrong airport. It all worked out, but we arrived at the correct airport a little later than we planned. So, if you use their car service, double check the location you are being taken to, it could have been disasterous.
“Great Location & Wonderful Staff”
This hotel was a jem. Great location for shopping and see the sights...it's only a short walk to the Blue Mosque and several bazaars. The restaurants were great and the people were always friendly. The staff at the hotel actually recommended a great resaurant just across the way! The breakfast was good...and included, which having traveled several times in Europe, you see the advertisement of breakfast included, however come to find out it's actually not. The rooms were a bit small, however this is not uncommon in europe, and always clean! The staff was very nice and I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Istanbul.
