“Thumbs up”

The hotel was in a great location. It was very clean and modern. The staff spoke good English. I arranged for an airport transfer with the hotel. It was very convenient but too expensive (40 Euros each way). That would be my only complaint.

Area recommendations

The highlight of the trip was the Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar and Spice Markets.

“Very nice hotel and great staff”

This is a rather nice hotel: very clean, rooms are reasonably large, Suites are amazing. The suite we got was huge, perfectly furnished and equipped with a huge bathroom and a nice jacuzi tub. But what is most impressive is the staff who all speak english (which is not very common in Turkey), very friendly and very attentive to your needs. Always smiling. It is a great pleasure being at such a warm and welcoming place

“Great location, expensive breakfast”

I'm currently staying at this hotel and it's very close to many restaurants, shops and attractions near Taksim square. I am having a few issues though. I've been in 5 different rooms in the hotel, each smells of smoke and both of my own "non smoking" rooms has come with an ashtray and matches. My 8th floor room and my 2nd floor room have both been loud enough to wake me from a sound sleep at night. Also, the breakfast buffet, although large, doesn't seem to have anything that I enjoy eating, and it's expensive. I was shocked to learn what I paid for my 9 year-olds half eaten single piece of toast...

“Great Hotel in Amazing Location”

This hotel is one of the best kept secrets of Istanbul. Location is phenomenal as it is walking distance to all major sites. The Havas Shuttle Bus from Atatuk Int'l Airport stops 50 metres from Hotel so do not take a cab as it costs 5 times more than the shuttle. I was not really happy with my original room due to the fact I was not able to control the temperature of my room as the hotel has central cooling and heating. Being it was winter the heater was on and I hate heaters. The manager took me to a really nice room with beautiful polished floor boards which made the room much cooler. She upgraded me at no charge. Service at this hotel is superb !!! I highly recommend it.

Area recommendations

Visit Gallata and Taskin Square for all the sites. Shopping is best at the Grand Bazar.

“I will return”

The Nippon hotel is located in the heart of Taksim Square near public transportation, restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores, and various other wonderful ways to spend your time. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff very friendly and mostly fluent in English. Also willing to help you expand your Turkish. My stay there was excellent and I plan to return soon. I would definitely stay at the Nippon again.

Taksim/ Beyoglu. Lots of food and shops. various forms of public transportation. withing walking distance of most of the sights.

“hope to go back soon”

we stayed at the hotel a total of 5 nights. the staff was very helpful and polite. ready to help at all times. the location is superb. in the center but in a quiet area. you are only one block away from the havas shuttle (to go to the airport for only 10 TL). all dolmus are in taksim, only 2 blocks away. very safe and well located. hotel is modern and comfortable, breakfast was open buffet with very nice turkish food. the concierge was extremely nice and helpful with us, he has all the tips you need to find your way around.

Area recommendations

taksim is a nice area to stay, much better than sultan ahmet, you are close to do the sightseeing, but then it is better to go back there to visit the beyoglu restaurants.

The hotel is fine. The rooms are very big and stylish. the location is excellent. 5 mins walk to the metro and it si very convenient ot get from the hotel to all major attractions.
