“goooood place”

It is a small hotel with a lot of character, turkish style. Decoration all in wood, very warm and cosy. The staff was brilliant, very friendly. The location can not be best very central, only few minutes from the Blue Mosque but a litlle bit difficult to find it but it is worth it.

“Great character hotel in Istanbul”

If you want to get away from the large hotels that all look the same no matter where you are in the world, this hotel could be for you! The hotel is in a quiet street in the old part of the city, but within walking distance of all the major sites. Great views of the Blue Mosque from the terrace. Small, simple rooms, but with everything you need. Friendly service - very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Fantastic stay in Istanbul”

The Naz Wooden House Inn was great- The front desk staff was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Everyone at the front desk was also quite proficient in English, which made conversation and questions easy. The location was convenient- in close walking proximity to all the major sites and close to a transit stop. The hotel is also steps away from a small bazaar, which is fun to walk through along the way to the main sites and transit. The hotel was very clean and our room was attended to everyday. Breakfast was included in the stay and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety (bread, fruit, eggs, yogurt, hot breakfast options, coffee, a variety of tea, juice) and had many substantial vegetarian options, which worked well for us. We used the hotel's airport transportation at the tail end of our trip to return to the airport- We had to leave the hotel at 3:30am and are happy to report that our ride drove safely and was on time to pick us up, and had the added bonus of providing juice and breakfast along the way to the airport. Overall, a great stay and we would recommend this hotel to our family and friends!

“Lovely little hotel!”

Friendly, young, multi-lingual staff in a lovely hotel with a lot of homely character and in a beautiful location – the Blue Mosque was so nearby the muezzin woke us up every night! The hotel provides a tearoom upstairs so you can make yourself a hot drink at any hour of the day or night, and also runs a budget travel agency so you can get good-value tours and transfers. The immediate surroundings are pretty and well-appointed with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and a few backpacker bars. Fantastic value for the money we paid.

“Excellent hotel!”

Very impressed with Nas Wooden, friendly and helpful staff. Brilliantly convenient location for all the big sites and street has lots of character, but is a bit of a warren so make sure you've got it on a map before setting off. Breakfast is great, convenient store across the road, and reasonably priced airport transfer although it's straight forward to get to using the tram stop at blue mosque. Would definately recommend.

“Excellent Hotel”

Hotel is good, but if you don't want to be disturbed by trains in the morning, then avoid the rooms at the back, though they have an excellent view and more space.

This hotel is well located in the old part of Istanbul and is an easy walk to many major sites. It is not easy to find but well worth it. It is an interesting building. We had a room at the front which was small but reasonably quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts are brilliant. There are lovely views of the Sea of Marmaris from the breakfast room and of the Blue Mosque from the roof top terrace. This hotel would suit guests who like more unusual places to stay that are not reminiscent of the big chains.

“Ideal for us”

Great little reasonably-priced hotel, more like a B&B, with only 6 rooms: two are quite large, but they face a railway line, two are on the small side but comfy (we had one of these), two are really small. All have Turkish decor. Breakfast room and roof terrace, which are open to guests all day, have wonderful views of the Bosphorus in one direction and the Blue Mosque in the other. Excellent breakfasts. The hotel is tucked into a small quiet street, but it's an easy walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. Staff are friendly and helpful. We'd stay there again.

“Great stay in great location”

Overall good hotel, excelent location in the centre of the historical city, fantastic terrace with views of Marmara sea and Blue Mosque, you can use it anytime and can even bring your own food and drink.Some receptionists did not speak very good english,but if you try hard you can explain them what you want.Looks great inside and leaves a very good impression, would recomend this hotel to everyone and will use it again if ever back to Istanbul.

“Convenient and friendly”

This is a small characterful hotel with helpful and friendly staff who are keen to help with all aspects of your holiday. The rooms are small but well-equipped (a second pillow might have been welcome) breakfast is fine and there is the facility to make tea and coffee 24 hours a day in the breakfast room, which has lovely views.
