“Unexpected Gem”
Our trip to Istanbul was memorable not only because of the sightseeing, but because at the end of the day, we had a great place to sleep and a great roof to have the breakfast and on the same roof to have drinks under the moonlight. The staff (especially Alper) was so friendly. The hotel was extremely quiet and you never got the sense you're in a big city. Wonderful value for the area!!On our return trips, we will be looking to stay here again.
“A perfect choice”
This hotel is great. It's not 5 star luxury but it is comfortable, clean and in a perfect location. Single travellers always get a raw deal and sure the room here was small with no view except a wall. But, how long do you spend looking out the window? The room was comfortable and clean and everything worked. All the members of staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was free but only available in the lobby. Breakfast was fine - a cold buffet. But what makes this hotel extra special is the location. It is a few minutes walk from all the main sights. Two minutes from the Hippodrome, five from the Blue Mosque, less than 10 to Haghia Sophia, 10 to the Topkapi Palace. The tram line is just up the hill and you can even walk to the ferries in 20 if you're up to it. Good value, great location and very nice people. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel - Great City”
The location is perfect for visiting such sights as Aya Sofia, Sultanahmet Mosque, Top Kapi and Basilica Cistern. Also very convenient train line near the hotel. I liked there everything from hotel staff which was very friendly till the screaming of seagulls :))) during the breakfast!!
“lovely, cozy and a roomy hotel in the right location”
Saba was like a meeting point to share the wonderfull moments. We have made good friends who I still correspond with .The view from the breakfast saloon was perfect like the staff, quests, seagulls:).I loved there.Stay there again... I candidly recommed you this hotel.Because I did know the whole hotel is clean, quiet and there are so friendly people working there.
“Location is great & friendly staff”
The Saba is a little hotel just around the corner from the Blue Mosque and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. The location is superb. You are in easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi. The Grand Bazar can be reached by a longer walk or a quick ride on the Tram. The easy access to the Tram makes the whole city accessable. The rooms are a little small and spartan but two of the rooms have terraces with views of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Maramara. We stayed in one of them, Room 404, and thought it was worth the extra money. We found the staff to be helpful, competent and friendly. We tend to like to explore on our own but the staff made a few reservations for us and made good recommendations. They were quite happy to set up tours and such and always helpful.

“I thought this hotel fantastic I will happily go back to Istanbul there'll be somewhere good to stay”
I stayed at the Saba hotel for the week that overlapped the end of November and start of December; so definitely in off-season. I found the hotel lovely and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The location is smack bang in the middle of the historic centre of Sutanahmet, whilst being just enough off the Hippodrome area so as to not be negatively affected by the crowds. I used the hotel mainly as a base for seeing Istanbul and so was out most of the day and evening. The view from my room was not too interesting, but then I don't spend my time in hotel rooms looking at the view. However, the view from the upstairs terrace is spectacular and the photos available do not do it justice. I had no worries or problems with the hotel in any way and enjoyed my time there. Having spent a week walking all over Istanbul it is obvious that there are a _lot_ of hotels around and the standards vary wildly. I am very glad I ended up here - mainly after reading through the many positive on-line reviews. I am more than happy to add my own. I will be returning to Istanbul next year and I have to admit that the experience at the Saba Hotel has influenced that decision. I will certainly be returning to this hotel. Kenneth
“Friendly, wholesome atmosphere.”
Small enough to be personal, large enough to have services.
“Perfect for a short break”
Very helpful and friendly staff and hotel in just a few step from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia...very convenience for a quick stay.
“Will definetely go back.”
it's clean, with a helpful staff, and very convenient located in the old city, if you intend to visit all the tourists attractions in the area.
