“Super Value and EXCELLENT personal attention!”

Our check in time was supposed to be 1pm. We arrived in Istanbul at 630AM, they invited us to have breakfast in the dining area, and they had our room ready for us in less than one hour! The breakfast at this hotel was included in the price. The buffet consisted of pastries, bread, hard-boiled eggs, vegetables, cheese, some cold cuts, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice. excellent for price point! FREE wireless internet in the lobby!!! Again, something that you just don't normally get at this price in a hotel. The people who work at the hotel were what made this a little better than most budget hotels. The manager is very helpful in helping to find restaurants. The stewards are equally attentive, helping to resolve a plumbing issue quickly, finding us taxis, assisting in phone calls, loaning umbrellas, explaining the tramway, and recommendations for restaurants, shopping, etc. They were FIVE STAR in my book. The beds are rock hard. If you can't stand a firm mattress, you should pick another hotel. I could stand it for the price and location alone. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping very friendly. The furnishings were dated, older icky bedding, but clean, and comfy enough for the week we spent there. Location is unbeatable. Ten minute walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi and steps away from the tramline. Definitely would go back and recommend to a friend on a budget!

“So great!”

We really enjoyed our stay here -- the hotel staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful, the view from the top floor restauraunt was breathtaking, and the rooms were very comfortable. The plumbing has a slightly weird odor, but that was the only downside. Yummy breakfast every morning, awesome location.

“Safe, Clean and in the exact Centre of Everything Cool in Istanbul”

Its an older hotel. If you want to stay in a hotel all the time instead of checking out the City - this hotel will not be for you. If you are looking for a safe, clean, friendly hotel right in the heart of the old City - this hotel is excellent. It is 5 min walk from the Bazaar, Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and St Sofia. You can't get any closer to the heart. The staff at the hotel are excellent. It is older - but one must choose - stay in a far more expensive location and spend money on taxi's or live in the area and have a safe clean place to put your head. Any room ending with a 2 (ie 202, 302,402) are the nicest rooms. They are round with beautiful moldings and are very very romantic. This is the place I always stay and am highly satisfied with my stay.

“Clean, comfortable & convenient”

Our stay at the Hotel Pamphylia in Istanbul was extremely enjoyable. The hotel is exactly as the description given by Expedia. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable whilst the staff at the hotel were both friendly and helpful. The front desk was very useful for booking tours and giving general advice about the city. The best thing about the hotel is it's location as the major sites of Istanbul are within walking distance. There are many restaurants around the hotel and a tram stop 2 minutes from the hotel making getting around Istanbul very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for an affordable, but comfortable hotel in an ideal location for a tourist.

“very friendly service”

All of the workers at the hotel were very friendly. They went out of their way to help us. The view was amazing. We could see Topkapi palace and the Bosphorus from our room. The bathroom could have been a little nicer, but the room was cute overall - and the AC was a nice escape from the July heat.

“Location, location...”

Side by side with Hagia Sophia this hotel is really well located and maintained in very good condition. The staff are extremly friendly, the service is impecable. The rooms are old fashioned, especially the toilets and could be more clean, but its acceptable.There is wireless. The view from the dinning on the top floor is amazing! Good quality for the price and lots of character.

“Fabulous hotel for seeing Istanbul”

This hotel is quite basic, reflected in the price but overall the rooms are a moderate size, clean and the customer service good. However, by far and away the major advantage is the superbly central location in Sultanhamet, close to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Cistern, Tram stop, authentic Turkish baths, restaurants, supermarket etc... Once your Istanbul Geography picks up, it also quickly becomes evident this hotel is perfectly situated for a short enjoyable walk through the shopping bazarre precincts to Emoninu on the bosphorus 'the central hub of further travel in Istanbul'. If you are not concerned with pampering yourself in a hotel but enjoying the city... stay here.

“Well-situated reasonable hotel”

I found this a quiet hotel with good & friendly reception staff, who all spoke good English. It is situated near to most of the important sites without having thousands of tourists passing every hour. Good local facilities and good comms to elsewhere in Istanbul.

“Optimal price/quality combination”

This hotel is situated in the center of Istanbul, in 4 minutes of walk from beautiful park and in 10 minutes from St.Sophia cathedral. So if you want to see the city and not planning to stay in room all day, this hotel is for you. Especially thanks administration of hotel for irrefragable answers we've got. They helped us to plan our city tours optimally. Thank you guys!

“Good for the price”

Staff are nice, warm and helpful. The hotel is clean and has a very good location: next to tramway and main attractions. Don't expect a lot for the breakfast and the shower cabin is small.
