“A very good hotel with excellent staff and very close to all the main sights!”
My sisters and I stayed at Hotel Amira and had a fabulous time. The hotel was convenient for all the main attractions, i.e. Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum , grand bazaar, etc. The hotel was perfect with friendly and helpful staff to assist and stylish rooms. We were welcomed by Arthur at reception, who provided us with useful info and what to do during our stay. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and relaxed atmosphere. Our stay was wonderful, thank you! Definitely come again!
“Amazing hotel”
We booked this hotel on the basis of other reviews and were certainly not disappointed. It was just perfect......from the moment we checked in till the time we checked out, it was absolutely faultless. I cannot speak highly enough of the front desk staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Location is fantastic....only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and handy to public transport. Suggest if you are a kiwi or Aussie, you go to Gallilpoli...its a long day but well worth it....and the Hotel can do the bookings for you Really loved Amira and will certainly be back
“Friendly comfort!”
This family owned hotel offered all the comforts of a large international hotel; terrace overlooking Sea of Marmara with sofas and dining tables; Jacuzzis in standard rooms; excellent breakfast; very quiet; free wireless internet; rain shower; and a five minute walk from the heart of Istanbul. Wonderful place
“Any better, and it would be home not hotel”
I reached the hotel from the airport by taxi at about 11:30AM. The gentleman at the front dek apologized profusely for the room not being ready (even though check-in time was 4:00PM), and invited me to have breakfast. The room was ready by the time I had finished my breakfast - which was a very elaborate spread of both western and Turkish dishes, and my luggage had already been taken up. Somebody actually went up with me to the room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction - and it was. The location was excellent - a beautiful walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya, and just a little further to the Grand Bazaar and the Topkapi Palace. I couldnt have covered so much of Istanbul in a day but for this hotel. Definitely the place where I will stay when I go back.
“Exceeded expectations.”
This is definitely THE Hotel to use if you want a break in Istanbul. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the main attractions of the Old City, yet in a quiet respectable neighbourhood. The hotel staff are superb, charming and informative. The decor was pleasant and the beds comfortable, an excellent buffet breakfast completed the requirements for superb break. A glass of wine on the roof terrace overlooking the Bosporus just added extra magic.

Istanbul is an awesome city and Amira Hotel was just great. The only drawback was our room being on the street level, so we would hear people walking by at all times. I would recommend that one asked for a room in an upper floor.
“Heart of Old City Istanbul”
The hotel was easy to find, convenient to walk about old town and get to our tour. Staff above and beyond. We arrived from ship at 10a.m. We were given a free breakfast, a room to stay in UNTIL our own room was ready. That is amazing. Hotel is lovely, staff wonderful! 5 stars
“Great boutique hotel”
The hotel is in a great location and within easy walking distance to major attractions. Hotel Amira staff were very warm and responded to requests with a genuine smile and without any hesitation. I would definitely stay there again.
