“"Best Location,Friendly Staff"”

I strongly recommend this Hotel as it offers good value for money, considering the excellent location near all the attractions in old city where you can walk easily to the grand bazaar,blue mosque, ayasophia and topkapi as well as its proxemity to the metro station. The Hotel staff made our trip even better where they saved no efforts to fulfill our needs. Nice breakfast is offered with a wonderful view from its terrace. The only downside of the hotel is the relatively old facilities and the moderate luxury room

Sultanahmet as it has all the nice attractions and cheaper hotels especially if you are not into clubs and night life

we were lucky to get a great price for this great hotel. everything was great. we will go back.

avoid restaurant for tourist. . eat where the turkish citizen are eating...great food great price. do not be afraid to enter in those little restaurants. a beautiful city. great museum and sites.

“Great Location”

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is minutes away from all the major spots and the metro/tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Room was ok, small and a bit older, food below average in my opinion, but the overall service was good. Would I stay there again, probably.

Getting around

The tram is amazing. It is cheep and efficient in getting you to all the major tourist spots and then some.

“Fond memories of Istanbul”

This hotel is very conveniently located and the quality of service and the attitude of the staff was wonderful. The property was well maintained, clean and tidy. The hotel should consider providing tea / coffee making facilities in the room. I consider it good value for money.

Area recommendations

I suggest visitors travel by tram and cross over to the Asian region by boat. The market place is a wonderful place to visit

“Ideal Old Town hotel”

This was our first trip to Istanbul so we did not have any other point of reference except for the Old Town where we knew we wanted to visit. So, I booked this hotel because it is 200 meters to the Grand Bazaar, 1k to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia and the Topkapi Palace. The hotel was perfect for hitting these places and getting around to the normal tourist locations. If this is your intention for Istanbul I can't think of a better hotel to book. Of course, because you are sitting in the middle of the tourist zone you will be hammered by all the locals wanting you to part with your cash. So, food prices are high in the neighborhood but that is to be expected. I would recommend hitting some of the restaurants off the main tram line and avoid all the "good deals" on the main street. Concerning the hotel, the staff was great. The hotel runs warm, so we slept with our door open into the courtyard and that was not always cool enough for me, and it could also be loud at night. But outside of that, the hotel was great. Bring a camera to breakfast because the view of the mosque you will want to capture.

Area recommendations

The place to see in Istanbul old town is of course the Hagia Sophia Mosque. The Blue Mosque across the street is also well worth the exploration. Our favorite spot in Istanbul would have to be the Spice market and the Galata Bridge. Take the inexpensive boat trip up the Strait and enjoy the amazing views. BUT, the must see, is not in Istanbul but Ephesus. It is an amazing place to take a side trip to. We did an overnight excursion to it, booked cheap airline tickets to Izmir, trained an hour to Selchuk and over-nighted there. We saw the ancient city of Ephesus, best ruins in Europe by far, and flew back to Istanbul that evening from Izmir for about 200 usd. Well worth it.

“Istanbul”

The staff was warm and provided an exquisite room with stunning views. Our expectations were exceeded in just about every respect. The service, accommodation, value, and overall experience were stellar. The size of the room was far beyond almost any room I have come across in my European travels. The dining facilities were lovely. The view was spectacular and meals were available at any hour that we wanted them.

It's very helpful to be close to a tram stop as this hotel is. It was also very convenient to the Grand Bazaar.
