“Nice hotel, but a little noisy”
Overall the hotel was nice, and overall it was a good experience, but at night I did not get a good nights sleep because I could hear everything coming from the surrounding rooms. I had previously stayed at the hotel, and I didn't remember it being that loud/the walls being so thin. That's why I knocked points off of comfort. Maybe I was just sensitive after a tiring trip.
“Comfortable”
The staff at the hotel are very accomadating, helped us with the local geography, good hotel to stay at if you are planning on sight seeing, as it is local to most of the famous sites, within 5-10 minutes walk. Complimentary breakfast is good if you are into a mediterranean lifestyle.
“Excellent location”
The hotel isnt a typical 4*, but its in a great location, you can walk everywhere from there and its safe. The staff are perfectly friendly. The breakfast isnt delicious but is we found better than what you will get from outside in any case. The rooms are clean and tidy and functional.
“Average and satisfactory”
Good location overlooking bosphorous. This is a 3star rather than a 4 star hotel as advertised. The breakfast is the same everyday seven days a week!!! It never changes, feels like groundhog day!
“Doesn't deserve a 4 star rating”
The hotel is very well situated in the sense that most places of interest are in walking distance (Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque etc.). The railway station is just opposite and in addition for the time being close-by there is a construction site causing some more noise emission. The rooms are OK and clean and if you are lucky with view to the Bosporus. Unfortunately for the breakfast no fresh products are offered. If you don't are among the early risers you encounter dirty and unappetizing table-clothes. The waiters are not very friendly. At 10am, latest time for breakfast, even the light is turned off. Compared to other cities worldwide hotel Askoc deserves at maximum a three star rating.
“Clean, but rooms are small and cold”
The reception area and restaurant were quite nice. The breakfast was quite good. However, the room was cold and small. The view was rubbish too! Overall - it was ok, but would not class as a 4 star.
“askoc its ok”
askoc hotel is great for a weekend stay, but breakfast is appaling so dont expect much. rooms were cleaned everyday and are quite basic. good central location but views are not good.
“NOT A FOUR STAR HOTEL!!”
This hotel is abolutely NOT A FOUR STAR hotel. I really didnt expect to be cheated via mis rating. We didnt realise check in was really late 12pm, and hence had to wait 5 hours in reception. We then got a really small room, where there was no space for our suitcase. The aircon was not working and hence we were moved after 2 days to another room, which was abit bigger. The toilet kept getting blocked, and breakfast was rubbish. They didnt even fill up some of the breakfast trays once it was finished.
