“very nice hotel, with good location”
nice hotel, with a very friendly staff. Location is very good - near the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia
“can't wait to go back”
It is a brand new hotel. Well decorated. Great morning breakfast, the staff speaks English. The staff was warm and polite and went out of its way to help. The room had the view of the sea and the port. It is within walking distance to major point of interest for the city of Istanbul
“Great location, staff”
Terrace, was wonderful, not grand, but wonderful. Overlooks a non-tourist neighborhood with the sea visible in the background. Room was small, twin beds, but very clean. Staff helpful.
“totally awesome”
great hotel, views, wake up to prayer calls, neat neighborhood not yet over developed
“Very enjoyable Stay”
Definitely recommend this hotel. Very close to the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and other notable sites in Istanbul.
“Nice tiny hotel up the hill, near the little mosque”
Nice little hotel. Staff very friendly. Nice tiny rooms, nice decor. Walk to Sultanahmet sites. Breakfast is modest, but this is Istanbul, so food is plenty. Make sure you have a good idea of where the hotel is relative to main sites, and its location on the map, 'cause most cab drivers won't know it. I think the neighbourhood is safe, and charming. Walking to the hotel is a good exercise, it's very cross-terrain. Best, Kirill
“Lovely and charming”
The hotel is just outside the main tourist routes, so you need to be good at walking up and down steep cobblestone hills. But the advantage is a lovely little hotel in a very quiet back street, with no noise of passing hordes or huge tour busses. The hotel is very clean, the rooms small but have everything you need. Modern bathrooms. Our superior room also had a wonderful view over the Mamara Sea. Breakfast buffet is simple but good and fresh. Excellent coffee. The whole neighbourhood is full of small hotels - Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Aya Sofia are all 15 minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. After we left, I realized I had forgotten some things in the hotel room. The management was incredibly helpful in getting these returned to me. Would definetely go back to Istanbul and this hotel again.
“Brilliant little hotel tucked beside Sultanahmet”
Not an easy find at first because the Old Town is like a maze. However, the hotel is actually a 5 minute walk from Sultanahmet and 2 tram stops: Cembelitas and Sultanahmet. The staff were extremely helpful and the condition of the hotel excellent. We travelled in February when it was snowing but our room was consistently warm and a nice place to retire out of the cold at the end of the day. For the location and price this hotel is hard to beat. The only slight negative would be the breakfast which was fairly average but again this was easy to forgive considering all of the other positives. We would return definitely.
“Great location in the old city”
Great location and staff. Breakfat is included. If you need ane services or tour the hotel staff will arrange promplty.
“Great boutique hotel at Instanbul!!!!”
Art City Hotel Istambul is a great boutique hotel which is situated in Sultanahmet, the old part of the city. It is not easy to find it and nobody knows exactly where it is but don`t worry, Turkish people is really friendly and they will help you to find the hotel. Please ask the receptionist a map which includes all the street`s name in the neighborhood and best attraction as well. It is possible to visit the best attractions by walk, of course those which are situated in the old part of the city (Blue Mosque, Santa Sofia, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Cisterna) and if you like walking from the Spice Bazaar you can walk across the Galata Bridge to Istiklal Street which has lots of shops (international brands) and some restaurants. Don`t miss the opportunity to visit Galata Tower. From there you can see great views of Istanbul. If you don`t like walking don`t worry take the tram just few blocks from the hotel, in less than 10 minutes you`ll be walking along Istiklal street. If you have time take a ferry at Kabatas to Uskudar, the Asian part of Istambul, walk along the promenade and rest until sunset eating pistachios, drinking Turkish beer and smoking narguille. The lights of Istambul at the sunset are incredible!!!. I also visited Cappadocia, great place, take a balloon flight. It`s 12 hours by bus from Istambul or 1 hour and a half by plane.
