“Perfect location and a good value”
It is a great hotel, walking distance to main attractions and very close to tram. The rooms are clean, good breakfast, very nice terrace and free internet. The staff were excellent, and I had a very good deal for my room. I will recommend this hotel to my friends, who wish to stay in Istanbul and definitely I will check in here again on my return!
“Great location, very friendly”
Very friendly staff, good breakfast. This hotel is in the old part, walking distance to topkapi, blue mosque and hagia sophia. 2 minutes to the busy quarter of kumkapi, with plenty of fish restaurants and evening entertainment to chose from. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with a nice sea views. Room we had was in the basement, however, all was in good working order and clean. Good value for money.
“Angel's Garden Hotel - Istanbul”
Hotel was very nice and comfortable and despite initial disappointment of not having a room booked for us they could not have done more and changed our room the next morning from the room below ground level.it is important in this hotel that you stress you want a room above ground level, street noise can be noisy but goes quiet from 11.30 p.m, but is noisy early in morning with morning prayer calls at 5 a.m. Irfran the man on reception is very good and all staff are extremely polite and helpful if you require anything. Will readily book anything for you and any request is seen to immediately. Good breakfast with a good choice. The scrambled eggs are lovely. but restaurant is very small so be up early for breakfast or no table. Hotel is nice and quiet and thoroughly enjoyed being there and felt really at home. Would stay there again definitely
“Value for Money”
Angel gardens is nice place to stay, the room are big and clean, however, i did experience internet connection trouble and drainage issues in the bathroom where were a bit of a put off. Otherwise the staff is helpful and the location is not that bad if you dont mind a uphill walk to the tram station. Don't expect a good view from our window though because u will in a middle of a whole sale market. I would definitely consider this hotel as an option if and when i ever go back to Istanbul.
“A little bit of gold in Istanbul!”
We arrived feeling hassled after having a taxi driver who got "lost" and then tried to overcharge us to be greeted at the door with a very friendly welcome. The room is large, clean and contemporary. The breakfast in the morning up on the roof terrace (under cover when raining and cold as our experience was!) was a good quality Turkish breakfast buffet. The great part of this hotel is it's location. Walking distance to the tram, bazaar, blue mosque etc. Just pack the hiking shoes as is all up hill to commence!
“Good service, scary neighborhoud”
Great help, small room, good location but dodgy surrounding areas
“Clean, Friendly”
Stayed there at the end of August 2010, enjoyed my stay, its close to all the sites I wanted to visit (Bazaar, Agia Sophia), clean and newly renovated, friendly helpful staff.
“Not 4 star hotel!”
Terrible hotel. Does not even look like the pictures online. Poor quality, old furniture. Not very clean either! Dont waste you money!
“Unpleasant stay”
I stayed 3 night at the hotel ,I changed theree rooms in the 3 nights. The first time because the room is underground and it is like a grave, the second time because the door was not closing. The Hotel need a lot of maintenance and the rooms are too small, but the staff are very helpful.
“Not Friendly !”
maybe the hotel is good .. maybe the hotel is a bit close to tram station " The best thing in Istanbul is the tram and metro system you can start using it from the airport ! " from the hotel to the tram station the street is very ascending and it gonna be an issue if you have a bag or something. and like everywhere in Istanbul no body is good in English .. so it was acceptable from the receptionists guys - ! - The rooms were small but cool and very smart the ac and the bathrooms are really good ! But the service were not friendly at all ! .. i think they should act nicer !
