"The property is a bit dated. The carpet on stairway is frayed and should be replaced. The bedroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable. The staff seemed uninterested in checking me into the hotel, and I had wait and ask several times for assistance. Same with checkout. The restaurant’s food was good, esp the local seafood."

"The fist look may be disappointing, but once you realize this is a 19th century building you'll be amazed how well it looks inside. While we were there they were working on refreshing the exterior. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast not included, but since you're in the middle of now, it's a good idea to buy it. They have a continental buffet plus cooked options on demand. The location is beautiful, quiet, and at the crossroads of many hiking trails. There is a well stocked whiskey bar next sooe where you can also have lunch/dinner. If you need a taxi so you don't drive to a distillery tour, the staff can help you. Be aware though that taxis have to come from Portree, so you have to pay for their whole trip."

"We were there a little bit early and someone working there let us in, which we really appreciated. The room was tiny, nowhere to put our suitcase even, and the bathroom door did not close. The location was good and it served it's purpose for a one night stay."

"The staff at Kings Arms Hotel were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which was definitely the highlight of the experience. The breakfast was also decent and provided a good start to the day. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself was disappointing. The room showed significant wear and tear, with damaged blinds that did not properly block the light, making it difficult to sleep. There were signs of poor maintenance throughout the room and bathroom, including mold/mildew in shower corners, worn fixtures, and general cleanliness issues around baseboards and door frames. The overall property feels dated and in need of refurbishment. While the staff did their best and were pleasant to deal with, the condition of the facilities did not match what we expected. With some much-needed maintenance and updates, this could be a much better place to stay. Would I stay again? Probably not, unless substantial improvements are made."
