Very unique hotel that sits on a hill beside a river. Appears to be historical but found out it was built in the 1990s and furnished to appear older. Just enjoyed walking around looking at the architecture and antiques. Rooms were large with a beautiful view of the river. Breakfast was remarkable with omelets, hash browns, sausage and of course the normal continental breakfast choices. All the staff were very accommodating. Anytime I'm in Rockford, I'm definitely staying there!
We only stayed one night, but would have stayed more if we had the time. We were on a quick trip . We had attended our Grandson's graduation from Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes and just went by Rockford to visit relatives..We had a nice stay.

Very clean room, quite comfortable though not extremely large; friendly staff. Very quiet at night. Free Wifi worked very well. If you need a basic, economical room in Rockford, this seems to be a very good choice.
Some friends and I stayed at this hotel to support our friends who were promoting a music tour. They upgraded our room to a jacuzzi suite, free of charge, and when we were unable to get a cab to the venue the woman at the front desk offered to drive us to the location. Great stay overall.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting friends and family in the area, and found the place to be very clean, comfortable and friendly. It's very near the excellent CherryVale mall and lots of other shopping and food places (and not too far a drive from the excellent pizza at Pino's on Main, which is worth a trip to the area in itself).
Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay except for the fan running whenever you turn the bathroom light on. The room was clean. Nice to have a microwave and frig. Will definitely stay there again when I am in town. Also was surprised they shuttled us to the bus pick up.
Given the pet-friendly options in the Rockford area, this was hands-down the best choice. It cost a bit more but the accommodations were cheerful and comfortable. The suite setup made us feel right at home with a nice little kitchen . The bed was very comfortable and the surroundings were generally well-kept, clean, and new. We were very happy with the choice.
