“Great Midtown Location, Clean Inexpensive Hotel”

Best of all worlds: great Midtown location at 5th Ave and 28th St, extremely inexpensive rates, great staff, very clean. Small room w high ceilings and entirely adequate furnishings, safe. It's abt substance, not style. I'd definitely recommend. Rates reflect whether it's a shared bath or a private bath, so get whichever you want.

“Amazing staff and Superb location- absoloute bargain”

I cannot say enough good things about the Latham Hotel. I was looking for a cheap place to stay close to the sites of Manhattan and this was perfect. DO NOT listen to the bad reviews on this place. The rooms are clean, warm and quiet with TVS and a sink. And for the price- you WILL not get better. A few steps away from the hotel is the most amazing view of the empire state building and during our whole stay we were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to see from the hotel. When my boyfriend left an expensive piece of jewellery in the room, we were not expecting to get it back but the very honest staff handed it in and helped return it to us. The bathrooms were very clean and very nicely decorated (although a few more bathrooms per floor would have been nice) If you are looking for somewhere comfortable, cheap and in the best location- stay at the Latham.

like we have said that the latham hotel is a budget hotel but five star service, central location second to none, the staff go the extra mile for their guests and pride themselves on their customer service, we had a great stay and would stay here again, so thanks guys for looking after us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very friendly, and helpfull. The room was very clean and dust free. The old claw foot narrow bath tubs need to be replaced with a modern unit though.

The hotel was very clean, and well taken care of. It was also very close to all of the big attractions. A great price, will definitely stay there when I go to NYC again!!

this place was awesome, great staff, clean rooms and simple apartments with all the stuff you need, but not necessarily the stuff you want! :) small, clean and cozy rooms, small fridges, two bunk beds well kept and good hot water systems for showers. heater and air con also in good nick. highly recommend for travellers who want to go the cheap option, but not stay in a hostel.

“just right!”

It was perfect for me as a person travelling on my own, it was basic but the staff were really friendly and it was very near to everything so easy for me to get home in the evening on my own. the room was quiet and clean. I would recommend it for a short stay but not a long one. probably best to pay extra and have en-suite bathroom which is what I did.

“The Latham- Great price and great location!!”

We checked in about 7 1/2 hours earlier than the hotel usually allows, but the gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and got us a room right away. The room was clean, as was the shared washroom, but I do recommend using flip flops in the shower. I have stayed at this hotel before- the price is right and the location is AMAZING! You are about two steps from 5th Ave. for shopping and 2 blocks from the Empire State Building. A great hotel!
