“Exceeded Expectation”

Clean, large modern rooms, helpful staff. Wifi was included is basic room price and on check in they volunteered a late check out on my departure date. Very satisfied.

“Nice hotel - Great Price - Run down neighborhood”

I stayed here because of convienience for my meetings i.e. I could walk to my meeting, The hotel is surrounded by old, rundown apartments. The hotel is well maintained but the rooms are small. Pick the slighly more expensive rooms as the rooms are larger and you get access to the club level lounge.

“good hotel in a non-tourist area”

the hotel is a good choice if u want to have a nice room to sleep and are out for whole days exploring hong kong. the bathroom was small but clean and cosy. the room itself was a bit tired but clean too. the neighbourhood is a true local one, no tourist traps in here. the hotel is located between mtr fortress hill and north point; somehow we found it more convinient to walk to the north point although the fortress hill looks closer to the hotel on the map the local dining is nice, visit focus bar iii its cool.

“Great hotel”

You can catch the A 11 bus from the airport for $40 HK. Just get off at the Fortress Hill stop and walk to the hotel. It is literally just across the road. It is a must that you buy an Octopus card at the airport and load it with at least $200 for 5 days. You can use it to travel on the tram, ferry and buses. You can put more money on it later at any MTR station. The North Point Markets are just down the road. The room was excellent. I had a King bed all to myself. The bathroom was clean and the room was clean. It wasn't noisy. I would stay there again. Loved it as it was convenient to the MTR and bus and train stations. I didn't know there was a pool until the last day when I looked down and saw someone swimming!!

Area recommendations

Mong Kok Ladies Market for souveniers. Get off at MTR Mong Kok For Dept shopping Sogo. Get off at MTR Causeway Bay. There is also a Toys R US at Great George Street there at the Windsor Shopping Centre. Lots of other shops there too. Jardine Markets are also at Causeway Bay and so is Times Square for shopping. For Chinese Dept shopping, go to the Chinese Dept store near Fortress Hill. It is also good for souveniers and Chinese artifacts from China. Best POST OFFICE is in Central. Get off MTR in Central and go at Exit A. Central Post office has stamps, postcards and bags for posting overseas.

What to pack

Hong Kong is humid. You need to pack shorts and T shirts and sandles. Also pack a light weight jacket for travelling on the MTR and for the air conditioned Dept stores.

“Good location”

This is the fifth time i am on this hotel because of the location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is nice and clean. The room is the bigger than the other hotel in Hongnkong that I have been before. It has a swimming pool as well. Good location on everything, bus, train and MTR is just short distance. The good things is on check out time they let me have extra 45 min free.

Getting around

If you getting around Hong Kong Island, you can just take the train, it is the cheapest transport to get round. If you need to go to Kowloon side, just take the MTR, it is more convenience.

“Perfect hotel for family vacation even from US standard view”

This hotel has decent room size and high ceiling. It is quiet and clean. The location is convenient to access subway and bus. 4500 HK dollars were paid for taxi from airport to the hotel. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The WiFi internet is free and there is a router under desk in room, so never have signal weakness. The shower head is low that may bump your head easily.

“Good Choice - Hong Kong Island”

Arrived to a clean, comfortable room with friendly staff. Good breakfast. Didn't walk the neighborhood - but this is Hong Kong -- going to be bustling wherever you go. Room was Large -- my double had a queen and a single bed -- very roomy. For the price in Hong Kong, I thought the Hotel was perfect.
