I had no expectations of the hotel before staying there, and really didn't do much (any) research on it either. I was simply recommended the hotel by several people, and the Sunrise didn't disappoint. Shame the beach directly in front was trashed and closed (due to a recent typhoon), but 50 metres to the left another beach was available. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, staff super friendly, breakfast buffet second to none, pools magnificent. The only downside was too soft pillows, but stick two of them in the one pillowcase and that will get you through!!
When we arrived we were upgraded to a river view villa which was a delight. Even when it was raining it was so beautiful sitting outside on the balcony. The grounds were immaculate, breakfast was fantastic. This hotel is in the best location in Cu Dai as it is on the river and the beach is just across the street.
Beautiful resort and outlook, it was very special. The staff were really helpful and friendly from our check in experience, the guest relations lady was very helpful with flight queries with Vietnam Airlines and even a problem with my Sim card, she and 2 staff members came to assist. I do not think there would be anything you asked that they would not be able to assist with. The gentleman who assisted by the pool and at the beach, Duec (sorry probably not correct spelling) was really lovely, and eagerly stopped us (my family of 3) coming back in from kayaking and ran along waterfront to show us where a lot of fish were jumping and swimming in large groups. The security man at the entrance were always friendly and helpful with telling the cab where we wanted to go and really, the whole feel of the resort was very welcoming and it was hard to leave-4 days was simply not enough! We will return for a longer and VERY relaxing stay in the future.

This was a perfect compromise for my husband and I. Close enough to the old city to do my shopping, spa and be near all the nice restaurants etc. And enough chill out space for my husband to unwind, relax and enjoy himself. Beautiful setting, makes you forget you're only a 10min walking distance from the 'hustle and bustle' of the city. Breakfast amazing, staff very accommodating and friendly. Had a very enjoyable time!

We originally booked for four nights at this lovely accommodation but changed to 10 nights as we were so impressed by the friendly atmosphere. All of the staff were both welcoming and friendly. They made us feel thoroughly at home. We would highly recommend this place and will most probably return.
We were given a pool access room which was really convenient and the room was lovely.
Pool and setting were beautiful and the sunbeds were really comfortable.
Enjoyed the included breakfast - particularly the banana pancakes! The rest of the food was fine with average prices for the location.
The hotel had thought of everything - down to flip flops and umbrellas!
Location was excellent - 5-10 minutes' walk from the old town. It costs about $6 for a ticket to go over the bridge but you only have to pay it once for your stay and it allows you into the attractions - traditional temples etc. We also hired a scooter for the day to explore the beach areas.
Be sure to visit Mrs Sa opposite the hotel for good prices on laundry, scooter hire, and transfer to the airport.
