Summary:
Only a short 25-minute drive from the Hobart CBD, making it the perfect property for a Hobart getaway. Tinderbox Cliff House is set in a secluded bush setting overlooking the Derwent River. The main lounge room has a wood heater (with heaps of firewood). parquet timber flooring & floor to ceiling windows so you can sit and enjoy the spectacular water views after a day spent sightseeing.

The Space:
Wake up with a view in the main bedroom that has a queen-sized bed, walk in robe, a full ensuite with shower, toilet and vanity, and floor to ceiling windows. All bedrooms are located on the lower level- down a set of 4-5 Steps The second bedroom also with a queen bed and the third bedroom with a single are also flooded with natural light. Both the main bathroom (upper level) and the ensuite(lower) have walk in showers. There is a second living area as well with sofa and television. There is a laundry with full washing facilities for your convenience, plenty of parking available. With shops, beaches, cafes and restaurants nearby, Tinderbox Cliff House provides a private and peaceful escape with the convenience of being close to amenities needed on your holiday to Hobart.

Stunning location
We stayed here for a girls weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning views and well set up house. The sunrise views from the master bedroom were wonderful to wake up to. The kitchen was really well set up with everything we needed and every room bar one has views across the water. Wallabies on the yard was a nice treat as well.

What a shame...
The house at Tinderbox was in a lovely position but sadly when we arrived there were bugs everywhere inside the house. Spending the first 2 hours of our stay vacuuming up the bugs and cleaning was not ideal. When we reported the situation we were quickly dismissed with “The property was cleaned about a week ago so they must have come after then. Thank you for vacuuming them up and letting us know. We will have to get someone out there to look next week.” After our three night stay, I’m not sure I would return.

Peaceful environment
We spent 2 weeks here with our toddler. The house felt warm and cozy, and the view was spectacular. We felt very peaceful there. We will definitely go back if we visit Hobart again.
