“Very nice hotel, close to shopping and memorials.”
This is a very nice hotel. The staff is very helpful, and the guest rooms are moderately large, by Japanese standards. It is not located close to the railway station, but is accessible by an economical taxi ride. The location is excellent, however, because it is walking distance from the memorials--the principal reason for visiting Hiroshima. The memorials require some time, but every human should see the exhibits here. The presentation is remarkably balanced and the impact is profound. I somehow believe that if everyone experienced a visit to Hiroshima, world peace would be a more achievable goal.
“Good value for money”
The hotel is located a short taxi ride from the train station and is in close proximity to bars and restaurants. The room is quite comfortable, size is standard against other hotels of similar value. Our room was next to the lift which was a little nosiy during our two night stay but overall, we were happy with our stay.
“Most upmarket of our trip.”
The staff were very nice. The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything. The most upmarket hotel we stayed in on our Japan trip. The best feature we found was the very well stocked library. The quality of the books were excellent and the lounge in the library was a nice place to unwind after a day out and about. There was free internet access from two computers in the lounge area. We would stay here again if we could get the same sort of price. It was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location and was excellent value.
“Impressed with service and location”
Excellent service and facilities, especially well located within the prime entertainment district, and staff were very helpful when I left my sunglasses behind and they posted them to me (carefully wrapped and undamaged) in Australia, swiftly and free of charge. Entirely positive experience.
“we loved it!”
The hotel is quite new, nicely located close to sights and resturants so ideal for tourists and good for business travelers also
“Nice Hotel”
Nice, reasonable and free internet. Everything is within walking distance.
“Great place”
Very nice hotel, possibly one of the very best in Hiroshima, and a good deal for the service. The room was small but it was well equipped and very nice. Also walking distance from everything we wanted to see. (peace park, museum, nightlife). Would go back for sure.
“Not impressed”
Our hotel room was so small that we couldn't get in at first. The door slammed against the poorly placed--and utterly unnecessary--couch. The worse part was the bathroom. There was a huge step leading up to it on which I almost broke my foot because I miscalculated the difference. The toliet was sandwiched against the wall and the sink with the towel rack against your legs. The ceiling was so low that I had to duck down when using the sink and any time I raised an arm even halfway, I'd smack it against the ceiling. I am not a tall person (I'm 5'5") so I cannot imagine how someone considered tall would fare in this restroom. The worse part though, was the bathtub. The bathtub was slippery as hell and...there was a window next to it that led to the bedroom. Yes, that's right. Your roommate can watch you take a shower. The blinds didn't lower all the way no matter how hard we tried making for some awkward conversations in the morning. There was no conceriege on staff (whenever I tried to find her or him, no one was at the desk) and the front desk had to answer all our questions. They were very friendly though and helpful with directions. My one issue with the hotel itself was that I couldn't call the United States from there because they go through an agency and that agency deemed that US phone numbers starting with 347 is not a real number. All in all, I was completely unsatisfied with my experience and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
“I'd try someplace else”
The hotel is impressive looking. It has a great lobby, and the staff tries to help. Rooms are so tiny I thought I had travelled to Lilliput instead of Japan. When you use the toilet you need to take the bath towels off of the rack for space. A double room is not nearly large enough for 2 with a suitcase apiece. restaurants are over-priced. They strive for fancy, but only achieve confusing. The Japanese restaurant on the 23 floor is pricey but nice. No English on the menu. The New York bar is the best, but drink prices and quality do not match. Prices were outrageous for drinks. And the food they serve is appetizer fare. 4 dishes fed 2, but very lightly. Food prices, however, were much more reasonable. Good entertainment on the jazz piano though.
“impressive hall, deceptive rooms”
The wonderful and modern hall of the hotel makes you think you made the deal of the year: superior hotel w/reasonable price. When you get to the room you understand that it is all very ordinary, except the really tight bathroom. Well it is all very cleann an the staff is ok and english speaking but that sensation of failing the expectations remains.........
